Android Jelly Bean reached 28.4% of all Android Devices.

Android has been stated the slowest platform in terms of updates. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was introduced same period last year and it has been adopted by 28.4% of the total Android devices yet. Meanwhile we already has the Android 4.2.2 update for Google Nexus 4 phone. The current distribution numbers have been published by the official Android developers team in their blog.

According to these stats Android 4.1 Jelly Bean adoption stands at 28.4% shows a slight jump since it’s last figures was 25% which was revealed in early April this year. However we can see quite a visible decline in the Ice Cream sandwich pie which is likely to devices that were previously loaded with Android 4.0 are now jumping to Android 4.1 club.

The latest version of Android that is currently available for some devices is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which has been distributed to 2.3% of the total Android devices. The lucky ones that has this update are the Google’s very own LG nexus 4 and the Galaxy Nexus smartphones while Google’s tablets aren’t behind on this update, both official Google Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 has already adopted the latest updated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version.

These stats also shows that  the older Android versions like Gingerbread dropped to 38.5%, Honeycomb is barely alive at 0.1%, Froyo dipped to 3.6%, and the rest of the numbers didn’t move for Eclair and Donut.
