If you have experienced Google Keep app in your Android smartphone then you sure wants to have it on your PC or Mac as well. Yes now you can use Google’s data collection app from your Browser windows including Google Chrome and the Mozilla Firefox.
Google Chrome has the official extension of the Google Keep available at the Chrome Store while for Firefox you have to download a 3rd Party add-ons which will enable the Google Keep Feature to work inside your browser.
However we have found that the this unofficial add-ons available for Mozilla Firefox users is quite better than the Official Google Keep extension available at Google Chrome. The Firefox Add-ons allows you to upload images to your notes as well. It works exclusively from the location bar, and doesn’t offer any other ‘viewing’ modes as there were with the Chrome extension.
For Firefox users once you install the Google Keep add-on you have to log in with your Google Account to get all your data synchronised with the browser. There is a Google Keep button added to the URL bar as seen in the above image. The interface of this google Keep will be pretty much the same that we have been using in our mobile devices. You can add new content to your Google Keep account by clicking the compose button and start typing a note. You can apply a label color, insert an image, or switch its format from text to a to-do list.
Unfortunately The only drawback this app has is the images, which could not be dragged & dropped on the popup to create new image notes or to add them to existing notes; instead, you have to select them by clicking ‘Choose an image to upload’.
However this is one useful extension for your Google Chrome or for your Mozilla Firefox browser.
