Well we all have been waiting for the next update which is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for our Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II and suddenly this rumor pops out that there will be no more Android 4.2.2 update but we will have the latest version of Android for Galaxy S3 and Note 2 which is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The direct up-gradation of Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 to the latest Android version is in fact quite a strange news in itself. We have already seen two leaked firmwares of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S3 and we did posted them in our previous articles. You can download and test them by clicking the links below.
There have been reports that the Android 4.2.2 Update for the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 have been delayed till November this year, till then we could have a chance to see the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean available in the market. We have seen it already in the Stock Android Samsung Galaxy S4 version. But the question here will be, is it possible for Samsung to made the update available immediately after the release, for its most sold flagship devices, i.e. Samsung Galaxy SIII and the Galaxy Note II.
There is no such confirmed or legit source to make confirm this news except this piece of article published on Android.gs. The source claims that Google is on the verge of announcing the next update for their Android OS and if they did so Samsung will take it’s time to made it available for it’s update hungry devices. There will be a chance that they skip the current Android 4.2.2 update which has been already delayed and move to Android 4.3 directly in order to make their flagship devices up to date as far as OS updates are concerned.
If you are among those who have tested and tried the leaked Android 4.2.2 XXUFME3 or XXUFME7 ROMs on your Galaxy S III devices you wouldn’t have found many changes in the previous Android 4.1.2 and this update, but the developers at Samsung pointed out that this is not the final version of the update and the final version will also have loads of Galaxy S4 features made available for Galaxy S III.
