The developers at Apple have been working on the iOS 7.1 and we expect to get the latest version of the iOS with the new iPhone 6 which is going to be announced as early in July 2014 or most probably the iOS 7.1 will be released in a couple of weeks time for the current iDevices that are currently running on the iOS 7. Currently the iOS 7.1 Beta 5 is out for the app developers [ Download it here]. Meanwhile we have the iOS 7.0.6 update out for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Beside the current update of iOS 7.0.6 the developers has released iOS 6.1.6 for older iDevices which were not update to iOS 7. The list includes iPhone 3G, 3GS and iPad one. The iOS 7.0.6 update is available in OTA update which can be found in Settings> General> Software Update.
The new update has solved the iOS 7 lag issues while using the multiple apps feature. The lag has been reported on iPhone 4 and iPad 2 which have teh older A4 chipped processors. The iOS 7.0.6 is feels much lighter and smooth, beside this the new iOS is loaded with the latest Car features which allows to connect your iDevice with the cars supporting the features allowed.
Other than this the new iOS has many new interface tweaks with some performance enhancement which has made it feels a lighter OS on lower end iDevices. We expect to have the same features in the future iOS 7.1 which is expected to be announced in coming weeks.
