With the increasing demands of smart-watches more and more smartphone makers are jumping into this field by introducing their own flagship smart-watches in the market. So after successful release of the Moto 360 and Apple Watch, the Korean smartphone makers Samsung are ready to release their own Gear S smart watch integrated with all Galaxy series devices available in the market.
The Samsung Gear S will be made available for the public in Unites States on the 7th of November according to the official press release by Samsung. There are confirm reports that the Sprint and T-mobile will be the first ones to release this flagship smart watch of the Samsung. While other carriers like AT&T and Verizon have to issue the release dates still.
This Samsung Gear S smart-watch will be made available for $384 unlocked version, while the Sprint version of the device will be made available for $16 per month installments. While the T-mobile variant of the device will be made available for $350 or $14.58 per month installments. The best thing about this smart watch is the presence of SIM card slot for Cellular connectivity while you can integrate it with any Samsung Galaxy device by installing some simple apps and make or receive calls.
It will be interesting to see how AT&T and Verizon will price the smart-watch, considering what we’ve seen from Sprint and T-Mobile now. The Gear S is an excellent option if you already own a Galaxy device such as the recently launched Galaxy Note 4. But if you don’t, the Moto 360 or the LG G Watch R might be the way to go.
