There have been many issues with the latest update of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There are many apps facing the sudden close up issue and the old inherited “Not Working” notifications pops up. Many of users who have installed the latest version of Android 6.0 Marsmallow have been facing the SnapChat Not Working on their devices any more.

We have come up with the fix as how to get rid of this SnapChat Not Working issue and make it work like it was on the previous version of the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The break down happens as the SnapChat Apk file dont have the libscplugin.so and the firls libsccrypto.co are so on in the armeabi-v7a folder which are needed for the login or sign up functions. So you have to make it sure that the main files are always available in the lib.

For that I have tried and tested the latest version of the SnapChat Apk which is the version 9.9.0 Apk you can download and install it on your devices especially the Android 6.0 Marsmallow developers preview , with Nexus 5 and Nexus 6.

I extracted the libs from the APK downloaded from Google Play with Lollipop and then Android M. The Lollipop APK has all of the required libs in armeabi-v7a folder, and does not include an x86 folder. However, the Snapchat APK downloaded via Google Play on Android M contains an armeabi-v7a AND an x86 libs folder. The issue here, is that in the APK for Android M, the libsccrypto.so and libscplugin.so do not exist. This is what is causing the force crash when you press the login button.

No idea how long it will take Snapchat to fix this, but since this is a preview build of Android M, it could be an issue with Android M itself, not sending the correct device information to Google Play. You can check for the latest beta versions here.
