If you are one of the Sprint subscribers with Samsung Galaxy S6 handset then today we have come with a good news for you. Sprint, one of the four largest mobile carriers in US, has started to roll out the update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for its Galaxy S6, which you should be seeing on your devices sometime soon. While, Galaxy S6 edge is supposed to be receiving the update too but we cannot confirm that yet.

The version of the update for Sprint is same to other roll out for the unlocked Galaxy S6. The update covers 1.2 GB space and it comes with Doze Mode, Google Now on Tap, granular app permissions, some performance improvements and brings changes to the vibration pattern during calls and messages. However, keep in mind that the Android 6.0 for Galaxy S6 and S6 edge comes without decryption function so we highly suggest you to disable your encryption option before updating to Marshmallow.

It may take some time to be available for your phone, as rollout has only just started. If you want to check the update before the notification you can do so by going to settings > About Device > Software update > Check for Updates.

Separately, T-Mobile was the first in top four US Carriers to bring the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge.
