Finally, the wait is over; Apple has released new 4-inch iPhone after iPhone 5S and 5C in 2014 to which apple has given the name as iPhone SE in an event held today.
The iPhone SE is the replacement to the 5s or can be assumed as a special edition. This special edition phone has most of the external design same to iPhone 5s and 5c but have most of the upgraded internal features that we can see in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. It features A9 system chip, the latest 12MP camera capable of 4K video recording, which exclusively powering the iPhone 6s, and NFC availability to enjoy Apple Pay service.
The upgrade from A7 and M7 chips used in iPhone 5s to A9 in iPhone SE is the significant part of the launch. The new processor will help the iPhone SE to be capable of offering superior performance and will support in better motion tracking. The phone has a retina display in 640 x 1136 pixel resolution. It will come in Silver, Gold, Space Gray and Rose Gold colors.
However, the only latest feature missing is the 3D Touch-sensitive display, which we can see in iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.
The iPhone SE price starts from $399 for 16GB model. While 64GB model is priced at $499. Apple will start to receive the pre-orders from Thursday and the iPhone will start to ship from March 31. The phone will be available to more than 100 countries by the end of May.
