Samsung Galaxy S7 Active Codenamed ‘Poseidon’ under AT&T Testing

After a number of leaks, Evan Blass @evLeaks is back with another rumor. He rumored previously that AT&T is testing out the new model of Samsung smartphone, and it is expected to be Galaxy S7 Active variant. Recent leaks showed that the smartphone with the model number SM-G891A was on the Zauba listing that is ready to be tested.

This time @evLeaks embarks on the code name of the model under testing. Evan Blass said the codename for the AT&T model under testing is ‘Poseidon’. The code name suggests the flagship may also come with the salt-water resistance while S7 have already the water and dust resistance feature with IP68 rating. If this proves correct then it means the S7 active will take underwater photography and filmography to the next level. The handset may also have a greater battery time with 3900 mAH capacity, 19MP back and 7MP front-facing camera and wireless charging.

Meanwhile, there is no proof that this model was really assigned to new S7 active. The model number for S7 active has proximity to SM-G890A, which was allowed for S6 Active. So the report make sense as AT&T has also offered many Active variants of Samsung flagships in past.

Separately, after this rumor we are still curious to know the answer that what Galaxy S7 active will have on top to the already impressive features of Galaxy S7.
