After few days of starting marshmallow update internationally, Samsung has finally pushed the Android 6.0.1 marshmallow for the Galaxy Note 4 in India.
After updating the device to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the users will experience all features that are packed in Marshmallow including the runtime permissions, Doze Mode conserving battery life when in idle mode, Google Now on Tap, customizable app permissions, and many others. The update also comes with new TouchWiz experience, providing enhanced usability and the updated visual design. The update also includes the march security patch.
The update bears 1.4GB volume so it may take time to download. As the update weighs more than 1GB so you are advised to download it via Wi-Fi connection for the safe installation.
Galaxy Note 4 was launched 2 years ago with Android KitKat as default Android OS version and received the Lollipop one year ago while Samsung had announced in November last year that all its flagships launched in 2014 and later will receive Android Marshmallow.
If you own the Galaxy Note 4 in India then you will receive a notification for the update soon. However, as due to the OTA (over-the-air) update it may take several days to reach all devices. You can check the update availability manually by going into Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update.
