The Korean giant smartphone makers decision for global recall of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 seems to be more legit now with this new report about the exploding batteries which are made by Samsung’s very own SDI subsidiary. The company has decided not to use anymore SDI batteries in their future devices, while currently there are 90% Samsung phablet devices with these batteries.
The Korean Herald reports the official statement saying, ” “As a follow-up of the battery issue, we decided to temporally stop using Samsung SDI’s battery for Galaxy Note 7“. Moreover the analysts from the korea investment and securities analyst says, “For the global recall of 2.5 million units, Samsung SDI is expected to bear the expense for most of the battery parts.”
Beside this he added, “Together with the possible sales decline of Galaxy Note 7, Samsung SDI’s operating loss may stand at around 18 billion won ($16 million) in the third quarter,“. Following the news reports, Samsung SDI’s stock price has dropped 2.76 percent to 105,500 won from the previous trading day.
