The future flagship device by the giant Korean smartphone makers Samsung is in the news now. In this latest leak on the korean site Weibo, which shows in depth and detailed specs sheet of the Samsung Galaxy S8 months before the release of the device. The biggest rumor so far was that the Galaxy S8 will have a whooping 6 GB of RAM under the hood, This seems to be more of a fact after the leaked specs sheet by this
The Galaxy S8 is expected to be powered by a 3.2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor and 6GB of RAM, making it one powerful phone. The screen is likely to be 5.2-inches, with a 2160 x 4096 resolution, making it eye-piercingly sharp.
On the back there’s said to be a whopping 30-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation while a 9MP snapper will be on the front for those all-important selfies. We’ve previously seen rumours suggesting the S8 will have a dual-lens camera, so we’re not holding out for a 30MP sensor just yet.
Under the hood there’s also said to be a mammoth 4200mAh battery, hopefully one that doesn’t overheat and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion.
Other bits worth mentioning include Gorilla Glass 5, Bluetooth 5, a retina scanner (carried over from the Note 7), Samsung’s first flagship implementation of 6GB RAM and storage options of 64GB and 128GB with dual-microSD support. Oh yeah, and there’s that 5.2-inch 4K display. Previous rumors have pointed to a model around that size and then another larger one, both possibly with “edge” screens.
There you have it — our dreams and our doubts about the S8, at least over a little slip of digital paper. We’re willing to torch it if you are, though.
