BlackBerry announced that BlackBerry Priv, a BlackBerry’s first ever Android-powered smartphone is now available on Verizon. After the announcement, BlackBerry Priv is now extendable to the US third biggest network subscribers’ base.
In January, Chief Executive Officer of BlackBerry John Chen had confirmed Verizon launch and referred the sooner availability of the phone.
The full retail price for the Verizon Priv is $720 while the carrier is also offering $30 per month in a payment plan for 24 months.

However, BlackBerry priv was already available to AT&T and T-Mobile users, while Sprint users are still awaiting the launch.
The Priv was launched in U.S, UK, and Canada at the start of November and represented a big change in company’s strategy. It also launched to the numerous markets across Europe, Australia, Asia and Africa subsequently.
Blackberry is not adding its BlackBerry 10 OS to its Priv lineup. Even so, the company is said to be bringing two more android supported phones to Priv lineup.
The phone features 5.4-inch 1440p display, 3410mAh battery, Snapdragon 808 Hexa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and an 18MP camera. It also features a QWERTY keyboard, which opens after sliding the display.
