The developers at Samsung are working to update their flagship devices to the latest or current Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. There have been official reports of such updates for Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 devices. We got the glimpse of it today and we want to share the leaked Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 firmware for Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 variant. This new firmware have been tested and tried and found working stable on Samsung Galaxy S4 GT- I9505 variant but unfortunately didn’t support any other Galaxy S4 version.
We have previously posted Leaked Android 4.2.2 Firmware versions for Samsung Galaxy S3 and both these firmwares XXFUME3 and XXFUME7 are still running smooth on many devices, but Samsung officially skipped the update and replaced it with the Android 4.3 which will roll out some where in mid October or early November.
Here we will share the Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 firmware file for your Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) and will teach you how to inject it in your device and get this latest updated firmware up and running.
Keep in mind that Android 4.3 update is still under heavy development and Samsung may add more features before rolling out the official update itself.
Download Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 for Galaxy S4 GT-I9505:
For this update you should first download the firmware file and than carry on downloading the much needed files which will be needed to update your device connected with PC.
Step 1: Download thi firmware file and save it on Your PC I9505XXUEMI8_I9505OXAEMI8_I9505XXUEMI8_OXA.zip.
Step 2: Extract the *.zip file you downloaded from the above link.
Step 3: Download Odin 3 V3.09 from these links [ Link1 – Link 2]
Step 4: Extract the Odin Files
Install Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 on Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505):
For Installation purpose you have to follow these steps given below to properly inject this latest Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 in your Samsung Galaxy S4.
Things to note is that this is a test Firmware and is a Pre-Release version but it is still stable and runs smooth on Galaxy S4. There isn’t any issue with Binary counter of your device it won’t increase it and also you should not worry about the Warranty of your device.
Step 1: Open the Odin 3 V 3.0.9 you have just downloaded.
Step 2: Press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down button to reset your phone in Download Mode.
Step 3: Now connect your Phone with PC and wait for the blue sign to show in Odin window as shown in image.
Step 4 : Now add following files from the folder where you extracted the I9505XXUEMI8_I9505OXAEMI8_I9505XXUEMI8_OXA.zip files
- Add AP_I9505XXUEMI8_1715731_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 to AP
- Add BL_I9505XXUEMI8_1715731_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar to BL
- Add CP_I9505XXUEMI8_1715731_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 to CP
Add CSC_OXA_I9505OXAEMI8_1715731_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 to CSC
Step 5: Unckeck the Re-Partetion if it is checked.
Step 6 : Every thing is ready now hit the Start button and sit Back it will take 10-15 min maximum while injecting this Android 4.3 XXUEMI8 firmware into your Samsung Gaalxy S4 (Gt-I9505).
Thats it Hopefully you will get the update without errors in the process. If you still face some errors during the update process you can follow these steps
1– Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
2– Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
