Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge Receive the Security Update

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Just a week after the launch, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at T-Mobile and Verizon have set out the small software update. The update comes with Android March security improvement, device stability improvements and some bug fixes. The build number for the update at T-Mobile is UVS2APB8 and Verizon carries the build number as VRS2APB4.

T-Mobile has not specifically mentioned that the software includes the March security update but Verizon’s page says that the update comes with most up-to-date Android security patch.

The Galaxy S7 is receiving the first software update but the S7 edge variant has already parked the update just a day before its official launch.

However, T-Mobile has already begun to push the update from Yesterday (March 17) while Verizon will start rolling out the update from today.

It may take some time for updates to be available on your phone, as rollout has only just started at T-Mobile and if you are the Verizon user then you have to wait a while. If you want to check the update before the notification you can do so by going to settings > About Device > Download updates manually. The update consumes 41 MB of storage.
