How to Install Windows 10 Technical Preview using USB Flash Drive.


Microsoft has announced the Windows 10 for PC with the note that the new operating system will be made available for the public in early 2015.  But for all the users who are anticipating the launch of Windows 10, you can download and install the Windows 10 Technical Preview as mentioned in our previous post. But today we will let you know how to download and install Windows 10 Technical Preview using the USB Flash Drive. The USB installation feature was first introduced with Windows 7 which was later found in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 as well.

If you want to get this upcoming version of the Windows, All you have to do is follow this guide given below. You can Install this Beta version of Windows 10 if you have some extra space available on your hard drive. Requirements to install Windows 10 TP version: You must have a Windows running PC, Which has a minimum of 1 GHz of processor and 2 GB of RAM for 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Your PC must have at least 16 GB of hard disk storage space to accommodate the Windows 10 TP version. For the installation device you will need a 4 GB Flash drive or a 8GB one for the Windows 10 TP 64-bit version. You must have the new software “Rufus”, which is used as a free utility for creating the boot-able USB Drive.

**- Remember, trying out an early build like this can be risky. That’s why we recommend that you don’t install the preview on your primary home or business PC. Unexpected PC crashes could damage or even delete your files, so you should back up everything.

**- After you install Windows Technical Preview, you won’t be able to use the recovery partition on your PC to go back to your previous version of Windows.

How to Install Windows 10 Technical Preview Edition from a USB /Flash Drive:

Make sure that you don’t install this Technical Preview or Beta Version of the Windows 10 on your primary computer. As the Windows 10 TP version is full of bugs and issues regarding daily usage. So better use your secondary pc for this fantasy ride.

Step 1: First of all Download the Windows 10 Technical Preview from the given link. By Clicking the Get Started and then Join Now options on the download page. Make sure to choose the right Language too. Or you can download it from different torrent sites by searching the Windows 10 Technical Preview option. It’s free and legal.

Step 2: The download pack includes an ISO file and it will take some time while downloading as the 64-bit version version that I downloaded was about 3.8 GB. While the 32-bit version will size around 2.95 GB.

Step 3: Download and install the RUFUS utility software for  creating the boot-able USB or Flash Drive.



Step 4: After the installation of both WP 10 TP ISO file and the RUFU utility tools complets, you can put in the USB drive into your system. Open the RUFU toll and format your drive and then select the ISO file you have just downloaded to make your USB or Flash Drive a boot-able Windows drive.

Step 5:  This whole process will take some time and once the RUFU tool ends up creating your USB Drive a bootable device. You can close the program and unplug your USB or flash drive.

Step 6: Now plug in the USB drive again and power on the system by choosing the USB / Flash drive as your 1st Bootable drive in the BIOS menu.

Step 7: Once you done, you will automatically transferred to the Windows  Technical Preview Installation instructions. You have to follow the steps and this will take 20-30 minutes, or depending on your system specs it can take a bit longer. Once done your system will reboot and you will see the Windows 10 TP log in screen in front of you.
