Lenovo A7000 Gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow update


Lenovo, a Chinese smartphone maker has started to roll out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on Lenovo A7000, so it’s time for users to taste the Android’s latest version. The owners of the Lenovo A7000 will get software update via OTA(over-the-air).

According to Phone Radar, the update also comes with security patch level that was released for the month of March. The report also says that users should back up important info before updating to not lose in case of data loss.


Lenovo A7000 was launched in April last year with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop as default Android OS version. After updating the device to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the users will experience all default features of the update including the runtime permissions, Doze Mode conserving battery life when in idle mode, Google Now on Tap, customizable app permissions, and many others.

If you are the owner of Lenovo A7000 then you should receive a notification for the update soon. However, do keep in mind that the OTA update may take several days to reach all devices. You can also check the update availability manually by going into Settings > About Phone > System updates > Check for update. The update weights around 1.3GB.
