In November last year, the OnePlus One users were promised through an official announcement to receive the Android Marshmallow update in the first quarter of 2016, which obviously didn’t happen. Since the Marshmallow launch by Google, the owners of the OnePlus One have probably concerns about the Android Marshmallow update. Now OnePlus One owners have a good news today as the company co-founder Carl Pei officially said that the Marshmallow update is now in final stages of testing. He has tweeted to share the news.
Marshmallow for the One is in the final testing stage. Can’t give ETA as it depends on other parties, but should be very soon.
— Carl Pei (@getpeid) April 6, 2016
It means the update is nearly ready for the public release. However, unfortunately, Pei did not announce the release date. He cited that depending on “other parties” the update should be released very soon.
In addition, OnePlus have already made available a beta Marshmallow build for OnePlus 2 if you want to experiment the latest android version.
OnePlus One is a $299 phone launched two years ago with a 1080p screen, a Snapdragon 801 processor and a 3GB of RAM.
