If you want the best Stock Android smartphone, then we would suggest the Nexus 5, Google’s Flagship device. But Google has just announced their future flagship smartphone and that is the Nexus 6, with even better specs sheet and design then its predecessor Nexus 5. The best thing about this device is that it will bring the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop version which is the first Android version with the material look. But the good news is that this Android 5.0 lollipop will be made available for Nexus 5 and even Nexus 4 as well.

Today we will compare the Nexus 5 and the recently announced Nexus 6 and look deep in to the specs sheet and design of both smartphones. Starting the Nexus 5 vs Nexus 6 sheet we will first compare the dimension of both devices. The Nexus 5 has 137.9 x 69.2 x 8.6 mm dimensions while Nexus 6 has the 159.3 x 83 x 10.1 mm. With this size increase the Nexus 6 is 50 g heavier then the Nexus 5, as it is now 184 g while the Nexus 5 was 134 grams.

Moving to the displays, The Nexus 6 has a 5.96 inch 2560 x 1440 pixels with 493 ppi pixels density as compared to the 4.95 inch 1920 x 1080 pixels with 445 ppi Pixels density. While both devices have the same IPS display technology. Under the hood there are some changes the previous Nexus 5 had Snapdragon 800 Quad Core, 2.3 GHz processor while the Snapdragon 805 Quadcore 2.7 GHz processor and so is the case with the RAM which jumped from 2GB in Nexus 5 to 3 GB in Nexus 6.  Same is the case with the addition of Adreno 420 GPU in Nexus 6 as compared to Adreno 330 GPU in Nexus 5.

So is the case with the Battery as it is increased from 2300 mAh in Nexus 5 to 3220 mAh in Nexus 6. Here the comparison chart between both devices.  Thus the new specs sheet demands some increase in the price list as well, The Nexus 5 16 GB was made available for $349 while the 32 GB was made available for $399. The story is totally different when it comes about the Nexus 6, The Nexus 6 don’t have a 16GB device while the 32 GB device is present for $649 and the 64 GB device will be made available for $699. So it’s roughly a $300 difference between the price list.
