After releasing mini variants of Galaxy S smartphones in past, Samsung is planning to bring a mini version of Galaxy S7 too. Some rumors are suggesting that Samsung is working on Galaxy S7 mini and could be inspired by the new Apple small size iPhone, which is known as iPhone SE. However, in the previous year, we had rumors about the galaxy S6 mini too but that were all in vain.
This time, the rumors from Taiwan suggested that to compete upcoming Apple iPhone smartphone, Samsung has plans to launch the Galaxy S7 mini with Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor.
Separately, Apple has already scheduled the 21 March event to announce the 4-inch iPhone SE supported by NFC for Apple Pay and a high-powered A9 processor as in iPhone 6s. The phone will also feature Touch ID and a 12MP rear camera.
However, the rumors suggest that Samsung might come in competition with this mini size Apple’s iPhone as the Samsung S7 mini is rumored to feature a 4.6-inch (720x1280pi) display and a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor under the hood. Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge also come with these processors, which would not be a new stuff for S7 mini too. Nevertheless, the iPhone will come with 4-inch size display, which is more modest in general, so the 4.6-inch Galaxy S7 mini could have an edge on this perspective.
The Galaxy S7 mini is also rumored to feature 3GB RAM and 12 MP rear Camera (same as iPhone SE) with its 9.9mm thin body.
We see these rumors as a pure speculation at this time, as there is no solid evidence about this rumors that S7 mini is really in Samsung pipeline. It would be better to wait if it is true then we will hear more about this phone in near future.
