Verizon is rolling out the update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. The update comes with Wi-Fi issues fix as some of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge owners have confronted the difficulty in maintaining an internet connection and other have faced an issue in establishing a connection in the first place. The update also expected to fix an issue of losing cellular data when removing and inserting back the SIM card and getting the data back only after performing a factory reset.
The software version number for Galaxy S7 is MMB29M.G930VVRU2APB5 and for the S7 edge, the version number is MMB29M.G935VVRU2APB5.
The software update comes with fixes for following issues:
- Trouble connecting to the internet
- Frequent data disconnections
- Problems while loading files or web pages
However, the update has started to roll out from yesterday and it may take a while to arrive on your device. If you want to check the update before the notification you can go into settings > About Phone > System updates > check for update and to download tap Download now.
