Apple has introduced their latest flagship devices, The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. But are these phones ready to compete with some renowned Android flagship smartphone like LG G3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or Samsung Galaxy S5? The answer may be different as we compare all devices with different aspects regarding Battery life, build quality, Display, Processing power and much more. But today we will like to compare Samsung Galaxy S5’s display with the recently announced Apple’s gadgets the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

If you put all three smartphones side by sided and switch them on, the thing you will notice different in Samsung Galaxy S5’s screen will be the ability to pick true colors and epic contrast as compared to the screens found on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This depends on ones preferences but the difference is quite visible as Galaxy S5 allows users to change the screen color modes to their liknesses. The Korean smartphone makers have been using the bright OLED technology in making their smartphone displays while makers at Cupertino use the same old LCD display which they are renowned of. Back in 2011 Apple was way ahead with their Retina Display technology but with the passage of time other smartphone makers crossed them with the introduction of latest OLED displays. On going deep into the screen technology that these most renowned smartphone makers use in making their device display better the Samsung Galaxy S5 shows some significant improvements in its screen as compared to the Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. This can be quite visible in the number charts given below. The Samsung Galaxy S5 owns slightly bigger display then the iPhone 6 and have a better resolution display with higher pixel per inch density ration as well. This shows the Samsung Galaxy S5 own much vibrant display then the iPhone 6 & 6 Plus.

But if we talk about which one is better among them, it always come to the personal preference The Galaxy S5 shows better color accuracy then the iPhones. So keeping in mind the viewing situations and contents, many App developers love to put more colorful images in their apps rather then going for pure white or pitch dark. So we can say that Galaxy S5 has a better display in this regard as the Galaxy S5 remains more color responsive even in high ambient light outside.


Comparing the Super AMOLED display on the Galaxy S5 with the IPS Retina display on the iPhone 6 would be quite difficult unless you use the apps and games you would normally use. The Galaxy S5 will use a lot of brightness and with its latest Super OLED technology always stands higher then the IPS Retina display on iPhone 6.
