Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Certified by TENAA

The Samsung A-series Smartphone Galaxy A9 Pro is apparently in the way of release as it is passed by TENAA today (TENAA is an official certification database and an FCC equivalent in China).

Up to today, Galaxy A9 Pro was hit by potential rumors while now it has been disclosed thoroughly after TENAA filing. The filing showed the model number for the new flagship as SM-A9100.

The documents attached with filing shows that Galaxy A9 Pro will be powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor similar to Galaxy A9 and will feature 6-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, 32GB internal storage, 4GB of RAM compared to 3GB in Galaxy A9, a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing camera. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow while the A9 still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. In addition to the standard connectivity options, the A9 Pro comes with 4G LTE compatibility.

Images posted by TENAA suggests that Galaxy A9 Pro features a similar design to its forerunner, the Galaxy A9. So when comparing, it seems the Samsung upgraded the Pro version without significant changes other than the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

However, the South Korean phone maker has not announced the release date. We assume that after the TENAA approval, the A9 pro is going to release in China first.
