The latest Android L or Android Lollipop is already all over the news as it is expected to get released officially for a bunch of devices that are enlisted here. But for users using last years Samsung flagship devices the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3, The Android 4.4.4 KitKat is rolling out now and you can have your devices updated to the current version of Android every body else is using.
This took a lot of time for developers at Samsung to bring the Android 4.4.4 KitKat to their flagship devices announced last year the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4. Both regarded as the best smartphone by Samsung in 2013. The process of update rolling out for these devices was quite slow as compared to the previous updates. There are heap of Samsung smartphones and phablets stuck with the older Android 4.4.2 version of the KitKat and it seems like those devices won’t get any updates coming ever.
However there are some reports that previous years Samsung flagship units might be blessed with this Android 4.4.4 KitKat, including the Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 Active and last years giant the Galaxy Mega. The update is expected to roll out in coming weeks for all these devices. So you don’t have to install the third party ROM’s of CyanogenMod or Carbon ROM for the Android 4.4.4 KitKat on your Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4. You can stick with the stock Samsung UI the TouchWiz with the latest Android version to be injected in your devices soon.
In other lists we have devices like the HTC One M7 with all UK cellular variants like Vodafone, O2, Three mobile and EE will also get the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update rolling out soon. Beside this the HTC One Mini and the One Max will also get the update soon. The LG and the newly announced Moto G and Moto X users are also in the lucky list to get the Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update for their devices.
