We have briefied you about the Nokia’s first ever Android device in our earlier posts. This is the first ever Android device developed by Nokia and is named as Nokia X. The phone has been leaked for so long now, and for the whole time it showed up as Nokia Normandy, however cuople of days ago the @evleaks revealed that the Nokia Normandy will be named as Nokia X.
Today we got the detailed specification sheet of the Nokia X, the first Android phone device and the specs sheet shows that the device will be a mid-range low end smartphone as compared to the beasts available in the market. Once again we will proudly name the most authentic tech leak source @evleaks for bringing these info from inside Nokia assembly units.
The Key specs of the device includes a dual-core 1 GHz snapdragon processor though there isn’t any specified model described in the report but this shows a quite outdated CPU to be used in the modern day smartphones. In one more leaked report we have the Snapdragon 200 8225Q chip for the Nokia Normandy which is Nokia X now but that is a Quad-Core Chip. However which ever CPU it is there will be a 512 MB of RAM for the support without any GPU.
Other than that the Nokia X will be announced as a single variant on the basis of internal memory and that will be 4 GB of storage space built in. Sure it is quite low in contrast to the huge android apps sizes. But the good thing is that the Nokia X will feature support for the MicroSD card upto 32GB as found in many Nokia devices.
Now coming to the display, the Nokia X will come up with low end 4.0 inch WVGA (800 x 480 p) display which is quite outdated as well and can be found in many mid range Android devices. There will be a 5 megapixel camera at the back of the device which will shoot some HD 720p videos. The best thing about the device is that it will be available in Dual -SIM model.
There will be a 1,500 mAh battery to power the device. The phone is expected to be released in six different colors, the range of colors we do often see in the Nokia Lumia devices. The Nokia X will be made with the poly carbonate plastic material with the removable back cover. As seen in the images the design follows the Nokia’s very own trademark Lumia devices design.
There are no reports about the price and availablity of the Nokia X so far but it will be some thing under $200. We would except this price as the device will be made availble for the emerging or developing markets like Asia and Africa, while the European or the American versions will follow later.
