CyanogenMod 11 ROM has been finally announced for the Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 devices and it has been based on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat version. The CM 11 ROM depicts the stock version of Android 4.4 KitKat for many devices now. Many official device makers like Samsung, Sony, LG, HTC etc failed to announce the latest Android updates for their top end smartphones and tablets but CyanogenMod is doing it far better with more original Stock version of the Android OS.
We have seen the leaked version of the CM 11 for the Galaxy S2 earlier but when we tested it, it was full of bugs and crashed many times when flashed on the Galaxy S2. But thanks to developers at CyanogenMod who has added this to the official Nightlies list for the CM11 and made the latest Android 4.4 KitKat downloadable for the Galaxy S2 GT-I9100.
We will let you know how to inject this custom but more of a Stock Android 4.4 KitKat ROM into your Galaxy S2. If you are good in flashing the Android devices and you have done it previously than it might be a 5-10 minutes task for you but if you are new and don’t know about the basics of flashing your SGS2 device then you have to research a bit to find out some useful details about this process.

Download Android 4.4 KitKat CM 11 ROM for Galaxy S2: [pre Flash requirements ]
1- First of all make sure to Backup your contacts, messages and other important stuff on the Galaxy S2 because Flashing the custom CM 11 ROM may erase all the data in your device memory.
2- Charge your device battery up to 80%.
3- Your Galaxy S2 must be rooted and have already made a Nandroid backup of your system.
4- Now Download the latest CM 11 Nightly Android 4.4 KitKat ROM for the Galaxy S2 I9100 from here. [Link] *Zip file
After completing all above given tasks it’s time to flash the CM 11 ROM on your Galaxy S2. All you have to do is follow the step by step guide which helps you in flashing your device.
Install Android 4.4 KitKat with CM 11 on Galaxy S2:
As mentioned above in pre-required steps your Galaxy S2 must be rooted so that you can follow these steps further. If it is not rooted you better root it now.
1- Make sure to download both zip files given in the above links.
2- After the download completes on your PC. Copy and paste both files in the root directory of your SGS2.
3- Now restart your device in Recovery Mode by pressing and holding the Home+ Power + Volume Up buttons for 4-5 seconds.
4- Now perform a full factory Reset by going to Wipe Data/ Factory Reset from the given options.
5- After that Wipe Cache .
6- You can also perform Format System or Wipe Dalvik Cache if you want a fully formatted device. [ Not Necessary]
7- Now select the Install Zip from SD card, Choose the downloaded Android 4.4 KitKat CM 11 ROM.
8- Click Yes for confirmation.
9- Now choose the GApps for Android 4.4 KitKat Zip file downloaded above from the root directory and flash it too.
10- Return to the main screen of Recovey Mode and select the Reboot System Now option.
Here you go your Galaxy S2 will now start rebooting and after the ” Samsung official Logo” you will notice a new CyanogenMod 11 ROM flashing icon which will be displayed for max 5-10 minutes as the ROM loads for the first time. Once the booting completes all you have to do is add your Google Account as your phone is totally formatted and it needs some basic infos.
