T-Mobile is in a route to update its smartphone variants with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The US carrier started rolling out the Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge and now LG’s smartphone V10 also tastes the latest version of Google’s OS. Last week T-Mobile’s Des Smith has indicated us via Twitter post that LG V10 users would be seeing Android Marshmallow this week.
The version number of the update for LG V10 is H90120E. The update can be installed on your device through Windows by download the LG Bridge app on your PC or Mac for connecting V10 to your desktop computer or Mac.
In addition, you can wait for OTA (over-the-air) update to come on your phone via a notification. Just do keep in mind that all T-Mobile’s LG V10 variants may take several days to get the Marshmallow update. If want to check the update availability manually, you can try your luck by heading into settings > About Phone > System updates > check for update.
Like all Marshmallow updates, T-Mobile owners of the LG V10 will also be experiencing all features of new Google’s OS like Doze Mode conserving battery life when in idle mode, Google Now on Tap, the runtime permissions, customizable app permissions. Separately, LG V10 will also be getting the March Android security patches.
T-Mobile hasn’t announced the roll out of the update yet as there is no change log on T-Mobile official support page yet. Some owners of the LG V10 on the T-Mobile network have already received the update and they told about the fast execution of Fingerprint scanner after installing the Marshmallow update.
