How Sha-Chi works

Sha-Chi is the gauge at the heart of combat. It works as both stamina and posture. Sha-Chi attacks, guard stance and blocking all spend it. Empty an enemy’s gauge and its guard breaks open.

• Parry and dodge-hit: a perfect parry, or dodging and landing a blow, drains the enemy’s Sha-Chi instead of yours.
• Swap to refill: switching your main weapon mid-fight fully refills your Sha-Chi. This is the best trick in the game.
• Power Surge: fill a weapon’s meter to use its unblockable ultimate.
• Weapon traits: some blades change how Sha-Chi drains, for example by making blocks cheaper but turning off normal parries.

Tips for finding every weapon faster

Most missing weapons come from three places: optional bosses, hidden side paths and merchant stock that changes after story beats. Clear each area fully before you move on, and look behind breakable walls and up on ledges, since a lot of chests sit off the main route.

• Beat optional bosses: many boss weapons only drop from fights you can skip, so do not rush past side arenas.
• Check merchants after each chapter: new stock often appears after a story boss falls.
• Revisit old areas: new movement skills open paths you could not reach on your first visit.
