Mozilla has already sent invitations to press authorities that they are going to hold an event today (Monday) to announce the first ever tablet running Firefox OS. The deal is set with quite a new emerging Taiwanese company known as Han Hai which will provide the hardware facilities. The Mozilla has been in the news for working on their own tablet which would be announced any time this year but the show gets ready quicker than we expected. The company also launched it’s most acclaimed Firefox browser for Android January last year and since then they want to get some chunk of this ever growing smartphone and tablet market.
The developers at Mozilla also been working for the Firefox OS for so long now and the first glimpses of this newly developed operating system were shown at the World Mobile Congress earlier this year. The hard work is paying off as company has a strong base line off apps available for it’s devices loaded with Firefox OS. The company’s Senior Vice President of Products Jay Sullivan, said that,” There is no ecosystem, if you are good at building Touch friendly mobile website which companies modern browser perfectly than you have automatically built a Firefox app, and many of you may not know it yet.”
The aims are high for Mozilla with their first Firefox OS tablet but the ground reality is bitter for them as the biggest challenge will be the distribution of this tablet as the competition is getting stiffer with each passing day, as Mozilla will be getting into the ring which is flooded with heavyweights like Google, Apple and Microsoft. But folks at Mozilla must have plan to start it from the emerging markets like China, Brazil, India and some other African countries to get most of the early survival strategy.
Anyways we will stay deeply in touch with this new development and a complete hands on preview will be available for our readers. Meanwhile like us on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to stay tuned with our updates. Enjoy some concept images of the upcoming Mozilla Firefox OS tablet.
