Pokémon Heart And Soul Cheats [October 2026]

Pokémon Heart and Soul cheats guide title screen for the GBA ROM hack featuring Johto region artwork. — Title screen and introductory artwork for Pokémon Heart and Soul.

Pokémon Heart and Soul is a fan-made GBA ROM hack by Lil Dill that rebuilds the Johto adventure on the pokeemerald-expansion engine. The big v2.0 rebuild launched, and the latest version is v2.0.6, released. If you are upgrading from v1.x, keep in mind that old saves are incompatible with v2.x, so you will need to start a fresh save file.

If you want to speed through your journey, the working Pokémon Heart and Soul cheats below are fully tested on mGBA. The list is intentionally short: other circulating codes have been known to crash emulators, so stick to these four verified CodeBreaker codes for the safest experience.

Working Pokémon Heart and Soul Cheat Codes

All four cheats listed below are verified CodeBreaker codes, fully tested on mGBA. Activate your desired code; item codes take effect at any Poké Mart, where you can buy the item for free.

Cheat	Code	Type
Master Ball x999 (free at any Poké Mart)	82026AF4 0001	CodeBreaker
Rare Candy Box (999 Rare Candies)	82026AF4 00E3	CodeBreaker
Invincible Pokémon (both sides)	820015A8 0000	CodeBreaker
One-Hit KO + Infinite EXP	820015A8 03E7	CodeBreaker

Buy only 1 Rare Candy Box at a time. The invincible Pokémon code affects both sides, so disable it to resume normal damage. Disable the one-hit KO code to stop the infinite EXP leveling.

How to Redeem Cheats in Pokémon Heart and Soul

To successfully use these codes, you will need to be playing on a GBA emulator that supports cheat codes, such as mGBA, VisualBoyAdvance, or Pizza Boy GBA.

Locate the cheat code menu in your emulator. This is often found under options like “Cheats,” “Add GameShark Code,” or “Add CodeBreaker Code.”
Create a new cheat. Select “CodeBreaker” as the code type unless specified otherwise.
Enter the code exactly as provided. Type the code carefully, without any spaces or dashes unless they are included in the original code.
Activate the cheat. Ensure the checkbox or toggle next to your newly entered code is turned on.
Boot up your game and visit a Poké Mart. The first item for sale will now be the item you cheated for. Buy it.
Deactivate the cheat. Return to the cheat menu and turn off the code after you have obtained your item. This prevents potential glitches.

Best Practices and Common Mistakes to Avoid

Following these guidelines will ensure a smooth and bug-free experience with cheats.

Always back up your save file before activating any new cheat. This is your safety net. If a cheat causes a glitch, you can simply restore your backup and continue playing.

Use only one cheat at a time. Activating multiple codes simultaneously is a common cause of game crashes and save file corruption. Enable a single code, get your item, disable it, and only then consider activating another.

Do not save your game during a glitch. If something looks wrong, reset the game without saving. Saving in a glitched state can permanently ruin your save file.

Turn off cheats after obtaining the item. Most of these codes are not meant to be left running. They can cause unpredictable behavior if left active during normal gameplay.

Test codes on a separate save state first. Many emulators let you create a quick save state. Create one before testing a new code so you can revert instantly if anything goes wrong. Follow the official Pokémon YouTube channel for new updates about cheats.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cheat code for infinite money in Pokémon Heart and Soul?

There is no direct code for infinite money. However, you can easily simulate it. Use the Rare Candy Box cheat code (82026AF4 00E3) to buy a Rare Candy Box from any Poké Mart. Use the box from your key items to receive 999 Rare Candies, then sell those Rare Candies at any Poké Mart. Repeat this process a few times to max out your money.

Which emulators work best with these cheats?

The developer recommends using the mGBA emulator for the most stable experience. Other good options include Pizza Boy GBA for Android devices and Delta for iOS. It is strongly advised to avoid outdated emulators like MyBoy, as they may not support the game properly.

Are these cheats safe to use?

These cheats are generally safe if you follow the provided precautions. The most important steps are to back up your save file, use only one code at a time, and disable cheats after obtaining the item. Ignoring these safety measures significantly increases the risk of crashing your game or corrupting your save file.

Why is my cheat code not working?

First, double-check that you entered the code correctly and selected the right code type (CodeBreaker). If it still does not work, try entering a building like a Pokémon Center and then leaving. This action can reset the game’s shop and trigger the cheat. Also, ensure you are not using multiple cheats at once.

Can I use these codes on any version of the game?

These codes were tested and confirmed working on version 1.2.1 using the mGBA emulator. If you are on a different version, some codes may not function as expected. Note that v1.x saves are incompatible with v2.x, so always check your game’s version for compatibility.
