The Ultimate Anime Vanguards Tier List & Value List v10 (2026)

You know that feeling when you finally get a Secret or Vanguard pull after hours of grinding, and you sit there staring at the screen, wondering… is this unit actually good?

I have been exactly where you are. When I first started playing, I poured all my hard-earned yen and materials into upgrading a Mythic unit just because the animations looked incredible. It turned out to be completely useless in the late-game waves. My defense leaked, my team wiped, and I had absolutely zero resources left to fix my mistake. It was incredibly frustrating.

That is exactly why we need to talk about the current meta. I want to save you from that specific kind of pain.

Welcome to the definitive Anime Vanguards Tier List for v10. We have spent weeks testing deployment costs, synergies, and optimal traits, so you do not have to guess anymore. By the way, we are also heavily focusing on the Anime Vanguards Value List aspect here. Understanding what a unit costs to deploy versus the actual value they bring to your defense is what separates the beginners from the top leaderboard players. Check v13.5 Updated Tier List here.

How to Read Our Rankings

Before we get to the actual rankings, let us make sure we are on the same page about how this works.

We are not just looking at raw damage numbers. A unit that does massive damage but costs 10,000 yen to deploy might actually ruin your early game economy. Wait, let me explain this better. If you cannot survive wave ten because you are saving up for one massive unit, that unit is not actually valuable to your team.

We break our list down into three main categories: DPS, Utility, and Support. We also factor in the absolute best optimal traits, familiars, and memoria for each unit. If you see “Monarch” or “Divinity” listed under a character, those are the exact rolls you want to aim for.

Understanding the DPS Meta

Let us be honest. We all just want to see those massive damage numbers melt the boss.

Right now, Iscanur in his Pride form is sitting at the absolute top of the food chain. Yes, his deployment cost is a steep 7,500 yen, and maxing him out will cost you over 170,000 yen. But when you pair him with the Monarch trait and the Ice Queen’s Rest memoria, he single handedly carries late game runs.

If you do not have Iscanur yet, do not panic. The Warlord of the Sea is an incredible alternative. His initial drop cost is only 2,000 yen, making him much easier to get on the board early.

Why You Cannot Ignore Support and Utility

This is where I see most players fail. They build a team of six pure DPS units and then wonder why the fast enemies run right past their defenses.

You absolutely need crowd control and buffs.

Look at the Lich King in the Utility section. He is not there to top the damage charts. He is there to control the flow of the game. And then you have units like the Armored Mage in the Support category. Dropping her down completely changes the math of your defense because of the buffs she provides to your heavy hitters.

The In-Match Yen Economy: Affording Those 170k Upgrades

So you finally pulled Iscanur, you drop him on the map, and then you realize… wait, how on earth am I supposed to farm 170,000 yen in a single match to actually max him out?

This is the exact wall every player hits when they transition from mid-game to late-game content. If your in-match economy is weak, your Vanguard units are just expensive paperweights. As someone who spends way too much time testing these Roblox economies for guides, I can tell you that the secret is not just which farm unit you use, but exactly how you upgrade them while the waves are rushing past you.

The Top Tier Farm Units

Right now, you absolutely need a dedicated farm unit in your loadout. Do not try to clear high level stages or Infinite mode without one.

  • Takaroda (Lots of Treasure Money Man): The absolute king of pure, raw yen generation. He is expensive to get going and you only get one placement, but once he is maxed, your money problems completely disappear.
  • Stitches: If you are going for long runs, Stitches is arguably the best overall farm in the game right now. His scaling is phenomenal for late waves, making him a staple for infinite runs.
  • Speedwagon: The reliable classic. If you have the Silly Fairy familiar attached to him, he gets a placement discount that changes your entire early game setup.
  • Nami: A fantastic alternative if you do not mind actively clicking and collecting the chests she drops.

The Optimal Upgrade Strategy

Here is where I see most people mess up in co-op. They place one farm unit, upgrade it to max, and then place the next one. Or, they place all three and try to upgrade them equally. Both of these methods cost you thousands of yen in lost interest.

Let me give you the actual strategy that the top leaderboard players use:

  1. Drop all your farm units immediately: As soon as you have the initial cash and your early chokepoint is secure, get all your permitted farm units on the board. If you are running Speedwagon with the Fairy familiar, this is mandatory because each additional unit placed increases your discount.
  2. Focus fire your upgrades: Once they are all down, pick one farm unit and upgrade it all the way to max before touching the others. Do not spread your upgrades around. The higher tier upgrades yield a massive jump in yen per wave, so getting one to max level generates cash much faster than having three mid-level units.
  3. The Wave 10 Rule: Your ultimate goal is to have your entire farm setup completely maxed out by wave 9 or 10. If you are still heavily investing in farm units on wave 15, you are bleeding potential damage and are likely going to get overrun by the boss waves.

Once your farms are maxed, you just sit back, let the yen roll in, and start feeding that 170,000 yen into your carry units.

The Out-of-Match Economy: Farming Gems and Gold Like a Pro

Alright, let us step back into the lobby for a minute. You can have the perfect in-match strategy and the best loadout, but none of it matters if your gem and gold counts are sitting at zero.

When I first started trying to climb the leaderboards, I spent hours just mindlessly grinding the highest story stages thinking that was the best way to save up for banner rolls. I was so incredibly wrong. I was making a fraction of what the top players were pulling in, and the burnout was completely real.

We need to stop treating the grind like a second job and start playing the actual economy. Here is exactly how we farm the resources needed to pull and evolve those top tier Vanguards without losing our minds.

The Fastest Gem Farming Methods

Gems are the lifeblood of your account. If you want a Secret or an Exclusive unit, you need thousands of them.

  • The Wave 10 Reset Strategy: This is currently the undisputed king of active gem farming. Load into an Infinite mode stage… Planet Namek or Shibuya work perfectly for this. Place one or two strong carry units right at the front of the track to spawn-kill the early enemies, and let it run. The exact second you hit Wave 10, open your settings and hit reset. Do not try to push to Wave 50. Resetting at Wave 10 over and over bypasses the slower later waves and can yield upwards of 1,700 gems an hour. Plus, you get a ton of unit food on the side.
  • Worldlines Progression: If you meet the level requirement, do not ignore your Worldlines. You get a massive 250 gems for every single floor you clear up to floor 50. It drops to 150 gems per floor after that, but that initial 50-floor push is an incredible injection of gems for your account.
  • The AFK Time Chamber: Look, we all have to sleep sometime. Before you log off for the night or head out for the day, drop your character into the Time Chamber. If you leave it running overnight, you will wake up to thousands of passive gems. If you happen to have VIP status, those numbers double. It is literally free currency while you are away from your keyboard.

Generating Massive Amounts of Gold

Gold is sneaky. You think you have a comfortable amount, and then you try to craft a Legendary Essence, reroll a trait, or evolve a Mythic unit… and suddenly you are completely broke.

  • The Summon and Sell Loop: This sounds completely counterintuitive, but it is actually the most consistent gold farm in the game. Take all those gems you just farmed using the Wave 10 Reset method, go to the summon banner, and just start rolling. Set your auto-sell feature to immediately get rid of every single Rare and Epic unit you pull. The vast majority of my gold comes purely from auto-selling low-tier units I do not need.
  • Boss Rush Events: Whenever a new Boss Event drops, drop everything else and farm it. You can take the boss tokens you earn and spend them directly at the Boss Event Shop. Depending on the event, you can buy bundles of 10,000 to 50,000 gold repeatedly. It is the fastest, most concentrated cash injection in the entire game.
  • Infinite Mode Scaling: If you are doing infinite runs anyway, keep in mind that the gold scales up. You get 550 gold at Wave 10, and it increases by 50 gold for every 10 waves you survive. If you have an AFK macro setup for late game waves, this will passively fund your trait rerolls.

Do not try to do all of these at once. Pick one method… like the Wave 10 Reset… put on your favorite podcast, and just commit to it for an hour. You will be shocked at how fast your resources pile up when you stop playing randomly and start playing efficiently.

A Quick Warning About PvP

If you are stepping into the PvP arena, throw half of what you know out the window.

The competitive scene has a very strict BAN list right now. Units like the Newsman, Lich King, and Valentine are completely locked out because they break the balance of player versus player combat. If you are building a team specifically for arena climbing, you need to rely on the “Usable” tier. Elastic Captain and Brolzi Super are your best friends here.

Your Next Helpful Step

Do not try to overhaul your entire team today. Look at your current roster and identify your weakest link. Are you leaking early waves? Swap in a cheaper DPS unit. Are bosses walking right through your chokepoints? It is time to roll for a Utility unit like Ice Queen Release to slow them down.

Focus on upgrading one core carry unit first. Once the new update hits, then build your support network around them. The rankings will follow naturally once your team actually works together.
