There are reports that Samsung will update its previous flagship devices to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The list includes Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note II. The updates for the Samsung Galaxy S3 are on the roll but there are many issues faced by the users who have updated their devices to the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean version.
But still we have managed to get the testing or the beta version of the Android 4.3 XXUEMK4 for Galaxy Note 2. This leaked version runs on the International variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note II which is code-named GT-N7100. The leaked version of the Andorid 4.3 for Galaxy Note II has been posted on several sites and the users who have downloaded and installed it on their Galaxy Note II’s have been satisfied and marked it as the stable firmware for the device. The insider have reported that this is the final Build of the Android 4.3 XXUEMK4 for Galaxy Note 2.
If you want to download this test / stable firmware of Android 4.3 on your Galaxy Note II GT-N7100 than all you have to do is download the firmware files and inject it in your mobile by adopting the following method.
Things to remember before Updating your Galaxy Note II N7100:
Make sure to back up your device, because updating to new firmware may erase your important data.
This test firmware will not increase your binary counter so no need to worry about the Warranty.
* Keep it in mind that this is a pre-release leaked firmware which is not officially released by Samsung yet, The final release may have some minor changes with it. Make sure you have the International variant of the Galaxy Note 2 which is model GT-N7100.
How to Download and Install Android 4.3 XXUEMK4 on Galaxy Note 2 N7100:
Step 1- Download the firmware file N7100XXUEMK4_N7100ODDEMK1_N7100DDEMJ9_INU.zip. ( Its a Zip file sized 1181.3 MB so better download it on your PC with free WiFi or unlimited plan)
Step 2- Now you need is to Download the Odin3 v3.09 (From these links Link 1 or Link2)
Step 3- Now all you have to do is Extract Odin .ZIP file which you have downloaded from the given links above.
Step 4- Open Odin3 v3.09 on your PC
Step 5- Hold the power buttun and Restart phone in download mode by pressing and holding Home + Power + Volume down buttons at the same time until the screen goes black.
Step 6- Connect your Samsung Galaxy Note II with your PC with a USB cable and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
Step 7- Add AP_N7100XXUEMK4_2099172_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to AP
Step 8- Add BL_N7100XXUEMK4_2099172_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to BL
Step 9- Add CP_N7100DDEMJ9_REV08_CL1423182.tar.md5 to CP
Step 10- Add CSC_ODD_N7100ODDEMK1_2099172_REV04_user_low_ship.tar.md5 to CSC
Step 11- Make sure that the re-partition option is not ticked.
Step 12- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
Step 13- In case if you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc) Than you should follow these steps.
Step 14- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
Step 15- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
Step 16- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!
Hope the update would install on your Galaxy Note 2 nicely and you have successfully upgraded your device to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
