Monopoly Go Wiki: Boards, Stickers, Golden Blitz, and Sticker Boom Explained

Whether you searched “monopoly go wiki” or “wiki monopoly go”, this is the one-page reference for how Scopely’s mobile board game actually works. Monopoly Go is a free-to-play take on classic Monopoly: you roll dice, move around the board, build landmarks, and collect stickers.

This is an unofficial player guide, not affiliated with Scopely, and it covers the systems every player runs into: boards, dice, sticker albums, gold stickers, Golden Blitz, and Sticker Boom.

What Is Monopoly Go?

Monopoly Go turns the board game into a solo progression game with social events layered on top. You roll dice to move Mr. Monopoly around the board, land on properties, and build landmarks on them. Finish every landmark on a board and you move on to the next board, which works like levelling up through a world tour of cities.

Landing on a railroad sends you into a minigame: Shutdown, where you attack a rival’s landmark, or Bank Heist, where you grab cash from another player’s bank. These railroad landings also score points in tournaments, which run alongside the main board. Chance tiles, Community Chest, and daily tasks fill out the rest of a session, so a few rolls a day keeps progress moving even if you never spend a cent.

Dice: Your Main Resource

Dice are the fuel for everything. Every roll costs dice, and the multiplier lets you roll several dice at once for multiplied rewards, which also means multiplied dice cost. The single most valuable habit in Monopoly Go is saving dice for events instead of rolling them the moment you get them, because event milestones pay out far more than wandering around the board with nothing at stake.

Dice come from Quick Wins, daily bonuses, event milestones, completed sticker sets, and free dice links. Our full guide to getting dice is here: How to Get Free Dice on MONOPOLY GO. If you only read one companion piece to this wiki, make it that one, because every system below gets easier with a bigger dice bank.

Stickers and Albums

Sticker collecting is the long game inside Monopoly Go. Stickers are grouped into sets, and sets are grouped into an album that runs for a season. Completing a set pays out dice, cash, and sticker packs, and finishing a whole album pays a much larger reward, sometimes including a special shield or game token.

You earn stickers from packs, and packs come in tiers: blue packs guarantee at least one 4-star sticker, while purple packs guarantee at least one 5-star sticker. The best sources of packs are event and tournament milestones, Quick Wins, daily bonuses, the shop gift, and Community Chest, which you play weekly with friends for a shot at a high-star pack.

Two systems turn duplicates into progress. First, duplicate stickers convert into stars, and stars open reward vaults through Stickers for Rewards, which pay out dice and packs. Second, normal stickers can be traded with friends, up to five sends per day, which is how you fill the last gaps in a set instead of praying for random packs. Wild stickers are the exception to every rule here: a wild sticker lets you pick the exact card you are missing, gold stickers included.

Gold Stickers and the Golden Blitz

Gold stickers are the rarest cards in the game, and under normal rules they cannot be traded or gifted at all. They sit in your album until you find another copy or use a wild sticker. That lock is what makes the Golden Blitz the most anticipated event in the game.

A Golden Blitz is a limited-time event, usually around 24 hours, that temporarily unlocks trading for exactly two featured gold stickers chosen by Scopely. Every other gold sticker stays locked. During the event you get up to five gold sticker trades, separate from your five regular daily trades, so you can send up to ten stickers in a day while a Blitz is running. You can only send a gold sticker if you have a duplicate of it: a +1 beside the card means you have a spare, and your only copy can never be traded away.

Three practical rules for Blitz day. First, check the in-game event banner before arranging anything, because the featured pair changes every event and a gold from a past Blitz does not automatically become tradable again. Second, use the game’s Make an Exchange toggle so both sides of a trade are locked in and confirmed before anything moves; if the event ends while an exchange is still pending, the trade is cancelled and your sticker comes back. Third, be wary of steep community rates: some traders demand two or three regular 5-star stickers for one gold, so trading with friends is almost always the better deal.

Gold duplicates also have a second use. They are worth double stars when converted into album stars, so a spare gold can open a better reward vault. But if that duplicate is the card that completes your set during a Blitz, the trade is usually worth more than the vault.

The next Golden Blitz runs November 2โ€“3, 2026, featuring Body Builder and How It’s Done โ€” see the full Golden Blitz guide for how the five gold trades work.

Sticker Boom

Sticker Boom is the event that makes saved packs more valuable. While it is active, every pack you open gives you 50% or more bonus stickers. The strategy writes itself: do not open packs the moment you earn them. Hold your packs, especially the high-star ones, and open them during a Sticker Boom window so each pack stretches further toward completing sets.

Sticker Boom windows are limited-time and appear regularly during a season, so patience pays. The same discipline applies to gold stickers: only chase golds during a Golden Blitz, and only open hoarded packs during a Sticker Boom. The next Sticker Boom runs November 3โ€“4, 2026 โ€” see the full Sticker Boom guide.

Events, Tournaments, and Partner Events

Events are where most sticker packs and dice come from, and they stack on top of normal board play:

  • Banner events run for a few days with dozens of milestone levels, each paying dice, cash, and packs.
  • Tournaments run for a day or two and score points from railroad landings, Shutdowns, and Bank Heists.
  • Partner events are team efforts where you and friends fill a shared meter for a large payout of packs and dice.
  • Quick Wins are small daily challenges that hand out dice, cash, and often a sticker pack.
  • Community Chest is a weekly team chest you open with friends for bonus rewards.

The pattern across all of them is the same: bank your dice, then spend them when milestones are on the table. A big dice bank spent on one rewarding event beats the same dice scattered across quiet days.

Trading Stickers Safely

Sticker trading runs on friends and trust, so keep it inside the game’s own system. Send duplicates, not your only copies, and use the exchange toggle so both players confirm before cards move. Stick to the daily limits, five regular trades plus five gold trades during a Blitz, and treat any deal that bypasses the in-game system as a scam risk. If a trade feels lopsided, it probably is: check what the card is actually worth to your album before accepting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Monopoly Go free to play?

Yes. Monopoly Go is free to download and play, with optional in-app purchases for dice, packs, and bundles. Everything in this guide is achievable without paying, it just takes longer.

Is there an official Monopoly Go wiki?

Scopely runs official help pages, but most players use community wikis and guides. This page is an unofficial one-page reference for the game’s core systems, not a full card-by-card wiki.

Can you trade gold stickers in Monopoly Go?

Only during a Golden Blitz, only the two featured gold stickers, and only if you have a duplicate. Outside a Blitz, gold stickers cannot be traded at all.

What does Sticker Boom do?

Sticker Boom gives you 50% or more bonus stickers from every pack you open while the event is active. Save your packs and open them during the window.

How do you get more dice in Monopoly Go?

Through Quick Wins, daily bonuses, event and tournament milestones, completed sticker sets, and free dice links. See our guide: How to Get Free Dice on MONOPOLY GO.

Do sticker albums expire?

Albums are seasonal. When a season ends, a new album begins, so unfinished sets do not carry over. That deadline is why Golden Blitz and Sticker Boom matter so much late in a season.

Where are Monopoly Go codes and free dice links?

Codes live in our Monopoly Go codes post: Monopoly Go Codes. Daily dice links live here: Monopoly Go Free Dice Links.
