The Roblox Developer Exchange (DevEx) program is how creators turn earned Robux into real US dollars. Whether you are checking what your current balance is worth or working backwards from a payout goal, this roblox devex calculator converts in both directions at all three 2026 DevEx rates: the standard $0.0038 rate, the legacy $0.0035 rate for Robux earned before September 5, 2025, and the US 18+ $0.0054 rate. Updated for October 2026.

What Is Roblox DevEx?

DevEx stands for Developer Exchange. It is Roblox’s official program that lets eligible creators exchange earned Robux for real-world currency. You submit a cashout request through the Creator Hub, Roblox reviews it, and the payout is processed through Tipalti, Roblox’s payment partner, to your bank account or PayPal. According to Roblox, creators have earned billions of dollars through DevEx since the program began.

The key word is earned. DevEx only accepts Robux you earned by creating value on the platform: game pass and developer product sales, paid access, private servers, avatar item sales, Creator Store sales, and Creator Rewards. Robux from direct purchases, gift card redemptions, monthly Premium stipends, and item trading or resale do not count, and Roblox reserves the right to decide what qualifies.

DevEx Eligibility Requirements (2026)

You must meet every requirement before you can cash out:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Hold a minimum of 30,000 earned Robux in your account
  • Have a verified email address on your Roblox account
  • Have a valid DevEx portal account (Tipalti)
  • Have a tax form on file: IRS form W-9 for US taxpayers, W-8 for non-US taxpayers
  • Be in good standing with Roblox’s Terms of Use and Community Standards

You can complete one DevEx request per calendar month. First-time payouts take around 10 business days to process; returning participants usually wait around 5 business days, plus bank transfer time. Once you meet every requirement, plug your balance into the roblox devex calculator above to see what your payout looks like at each rate.

DevEx Rate Changes: The 2026 History

The DevEx rate has not always been what it is today. Two changes define the current three-tier system:

  • September 5, 2025: Roblox raised the standard rate from $0.0035 to $0.0038 per earned Robux. If you still hold Robux earned before that date, those balances cash out at the old $0.0035 rate first. You must clear the old-rate balance before any newer Robux converts at $0.0038.
  • June 8, 2026: Roblox added a $0.0054 tier for the US 18+ rate. It applies only to qualifying spend by age-verified 18+ US players in eligible experiences, such as developer products, passes, subscriptions, and private servers. Roblox reviews games for eligibility on an ongoing basis.

The old “$350 per 100,000 Robux” figure you still see in outdated guides was the pre-September 2025 math. At the current standard rate, 100,000 Robux is $380. You can compare the old and new math side by side with the roblox devex calculator above.

Worked Examples Using the Roblox DevEx Calculator

The minimum cashout: 30,000 earned Robux converts to $114.00 at the standard rate, $105.00 at the legacy rate, or $162.00 at the US 18+ rate. This is the smallest payout DevEx allows.

A mid-size balance: 100,000 earned Robux converts to $380.00 at the standard rate (not $350, which was the old rate), $350.00 at the legacy rate, or $540.00 at the US 18+ rate.

A large balance: 1,000,000 earned Robux converts to $3,800.00 at the standard rate.

Working backwards: want a $100 payout? You need about 26,316 earned Robux at the standard rate (100 divided by 0.0038). A $1,000 payout needs about 263,158 earned Robux. Use the USD to Robux mode in the roblox devex calculator above for any target.

Remember that the 30% marketplace fee already came out of these balances at the moment of sale. If you want to see the full journey from a sale price to real dollars, try our robux tax calculator. Players buying Robux rather than cashing out should use our robux to usd calculator (1 Robux = $0.0125 on the buy side).
