Tekken 3 Cheat Codes [October 2026]

Tekken 3 cheat codes unlock a deeper experience in the 1997 PlayStation classic. Unlike codes for live-service games, Tekken 3 cheats are permanent: built-in unlocks earned through Arcade Mode and Tekken Force, plus GameShark codes that never expire. Now that you have the ultimate list of Tekken 3 cheat codes, it is time to jump back into the King of Iron Fist Tournament. Fire up your PlayStation or emulator and start unlocking everything. How to Redeem Tekken 3 Cheat Codes

Redeeming codes depends on how you are playing the game. Here is a step-by-step guide for different methods.

For original PlayStation console: You need a physical cheat device like a GameShark or CodeBreaker. Plug the device between your memory card and console. Start the device, enter the codes, and then boot the game with cheats enabled.
For PlayStation emulators (ePSXe, RetroArch): Access the emulator’s cheat menu. Navigate to the “Manage Cheats” or “Patch Browser” section. Input the raw code values directly into the provided fields and enable them.
For character and costume unlocks: These do not require external codes. Simply perform the required in-game actions, such as completing Arcade Mode a set number of times or playing a specific character repeatedly.
For in-game secrets: Some tricks are activated with button presses. For instance, in Practice Mode, press L1, L2, R1, R2, and Circle simultaneously to enable the combo recorder.

Expert Tips and Recommendations

Mastering Tekken 3 goes beyond just inputting codes. Here are some pro tips to get the most out of your game.

Use Yoshimitsu for easy wins. Perform his Shark Attack move at the beginning of each round to deal massive damage quickly.
Unlock Gon for an easier time in Tekken Force mode. His spin attack, activated by rapidly pressing Circle, can easily defeat groups of enemies.
To change your victory celebration, hold a limb button when KO or Perfect appears during the replay. Hold a punch button to see the original pose.
For a random Team Battle, select the number of players and then press Start without choosing any fighters. The computer will randomly pick your team.
Change Mokujin’s sound. After selecting him, hold the Down button until the match starts. He will make a wooden block sound when hit.
Recorder mode: go to Practice, open the Freestyle menu, then press R1+R2+L1+L2+Circle to record and replay your fights.

Common Challenges and Solutions

Players often face a few common issues when using Tekken 3 cheats. Here are the solutions.

Codes not working on emulator: Ensure your code format is correct for your specific emulator. Some emulators require codes to be entered with different prefixes or in a certain style.
Cannot unlock Dr. Boskonovitch: The Tekken Force mode must be completed three times. If you are struggling, use Gon’s spin attack or enable the “Infinite Health” cheat to make it easier.
Saved costumes not sticking: After unlocking a third costume, you must complete Arcade Mode once while wearing that outfit to save it permanently.
Gon will not appear in Survival Mode: You need to achieve a high enough score to rank. Keep practicing to improve your Survival Mode standing.
