DONT SPLASH Roblox Guide: All 9 Rooms, Valves & Exit Walkthrough
DONT SPLASH is a free Roblox horror obby where you cross flooded Poolrooms without touching the water. A blind monster hunts by sound, so every splash calls it to you. This guide covers all nine rooms in order, the valves, the Locked Exit door, the difficulty modes and the tips that actually keep you dry. Facts were last checked on October 29, 2026.
- Developer: Bacon Theory (Roblox group). Community sites credit the creator as slo7th.
- Released October 17, 2026. Free to play.
- Party of 1 to 4 players; servers hold up to 10.
- 9 rooms since the October 24 update (it launched with 4).
- Monsters: 1 on Easy, 3 on Normal, up to 5 on the locked hard mode.
- Codes: none. See the codes page, checked daily.

What is DONT SPLASH?
The game drops you into the Poolrooms, a liminal space of tiled halls and still water. Its Roblox description says it is inspired by the Poolrooms and House of the Locust. The rule is in the name: don’t splash. Platforms float over the water, and falling in, clipping the surface on a jump or landing badly makes noise. The monster cannot see you. A sign on the wall tells you it hears the water.
You don’t fight it. You avoid it, distract it with thrown objects, and get out through the exit with your party.
How to start a run
- Join the game from its Roblox page.
- Walk into the party zone that says Touch to create a party.
- Pick a difficulty. Easy is the default; the harder mode stays locked until you beat Normal twice (the party screen shows BEAT NORMAL 0/2).
- Invite up to three friends or start solo, then begin.
All 9 rooms in order
These are the room banners shown in October 2026 runs. Rooms 1 to 4 are from launch; rooms 5 to 9 arrived in the October 24 update.
Room 1: Pillar Hall
What happens: Separate platforms between tiled pillars. Wall arrows point the way.
How to beat it: Clean, centred jumps. You don’t need pebbles here, so pick up every one you see for later.
Room 2: Broken Walkway
What happens: A choice of narrow ledges with short hops or wider platforms with longer gaps.
How to beat it: Take whichever route you jump most reliably. Grab the pebbles on the side ledges before the hard stretch.
Room 3: Sinking Platforms
What happens: Tiles sink while you stand on them.
How to beat it: Keep moving. Players report that dark-bordered tiles stay put, so use those to pause and look for the monster, but test each one first.
Room 4: Rotating Bridge
What happens: Planks rotate between fixed platforms.
How to beat it: Wait until the plank lines up, board at the near end and leave from the far end. If the monster is under your exit, throw a pebble the other way first.
Room 5: Moving Platforms
What happens: Platforms travel along a set path.
How to beat it: Jump to where the platform will be when you land, not where it is now.
Room 6: Drifting Platforms
What happens: Arrows on the floor push you sideways.
How to beat it: Steer against the drift before you commit to a jump.
Room 7: Memory Bridge
What happens: Safe tiles light up in a sequence, then go dark.
How to beat it: Memorise the lit path and walk it exactly. The pattern changes between runs, so a pattern from a video won’t help. Practise with our Memory Bridge trainer.
Room 8: Crushing Walls
What happens: Walls slide in and out and push you toward the water. One lane stays open.
How to beat it: Watch one full cycle before moving, then take the open lane. Rushing a closing lane drops you in the water, and the splash brings the monster.
Room 9: Locked Exit
What happens: A keypad door. Four pillars in the room each show a number.
How to beat it: Photograph all four numbers with the in-game camera prompt, then type them into the door. The digits differ each run. See the Locked Exit code guide.
The maintenance valves
At the Maintenance Lock section you open two red valve wheels. Hold E (or the on-screen button) on the first wheel until the ring fills. You’ll see Valve opened (1/2). Do the same on the second wheel. Once both are open, the water starts rising: climb the yellow block stairs between the columns to the lit corridor. The valves are loud, and the monster reacts to the machinery, so keep a pebble ready.
Difficulty modes
| Mode | Monsters | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | 1 | Open from the start |
| Normal | 3 | Open from the start |
| Hard (unnamed in-game so far) | Up to 5 | Beat Normal twice |
Easy reportedly pays about half the coins of Normal. If you’re grinding for an upgrade, Normal is worth learning early.
Tips that keep you dry
- Never jump over the monster’s head to skip a platform. It can grab you mid-jump.
- If the screen turns red, you’re already in grab range.
- Throw a pebble away from your route before a risky jump, then go while it chases the sound.
- A flare stuns the monster for about 5 seconds. Use it before the jump, not after.
- Collect every pebble in the early rooms. You’ll need them from Rotating Bridge onwards.
- Bring a rope user in a party. A downed teammate can be pulled back.
Not sure what to buy first? The tools and shop guide lists every item and price, and the coin calculator tells you how many runs you need.
