Battlefield 6 Heads to Xbox Game Pass on October 13 Alongside 8 More Games (2026)

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for October 2026, and the headline act is Battlefield 6. The EA shooter joins the service on October 13 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members, just over a year after its original launch, according to GameRant.

The announcement came through Xbox Wire on October 7, and it covers nine games landing between October 8 and October 16. Several are day-one releases, but Battlefield 6 is the catalog heavyweight of the batch.

Battlefield 6 finally hits the subscription

Battlefield 6 arrives on October 13 across cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. It is not coming to the cheaper Premium or Essential tiers, so Ultimate or PC Game Pass is required to play it as part of the subscription.

The timing is no accident. October 13 is also the launch of Battlefield 6 Season 5, which kicks off the game’s second year with two new maps: a destructible Las Vegas strip and an Area 51-inspired military complex, plus new weapons, vehicles, and Platoons, according to G2A’s breakdown of the wave.

Because Game Pass Ultimate includes EA Play, subscribers also unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack, the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and recurring seasonal rewards, plus 10 percent off eligible EA digital purchases, per the official Xbox Wire post.

The move puts Battlefield 6 on the subscription days before Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23 at full retail price. Tech Insider notes the placement keeps Battlefield visible and easy to try while its biggest rival asks players to pay full price.

Valor Mortis leads the day-one releases

Sharing the October 13 date is Valor Mortis, launching day one into Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. It is a first-person soulslike from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner, set in an alternate-history Napoleonic era where players rise from the dead as a former soldier of Napoleon’s army. Vincent Cassel voices Napoleon, according to Gagadget, and the game was previously delayed from its original September 24 date.

Deep Dish Dungeon also lands on October 13 as a day-one release, a co-op dungeon crawler from Raw Fury and Behold Studios.

The wave actually started on October 8 with three games already live: Echo Weaver, a day-one time-loop metroidvania; Forever Ago, a day-one single-player road-trip adventure; and Neon Abyss 2, the only title in this wave also available on Game Pass Premium. Rounding out the month, Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts arrive on October 15, and Beyond These Stars hits PC on October 16.

What it means for subscribers

This has already been a strong month for the service. Gears of War: E-Day, the first new Gears entry in seven years, launched day one into Game Pass earlier this month, and Minecraft Dungeons II recently joined as well.

But there is a catch on the other side of the ledger. Nine games leave Game Pass on October 15, and the departures list is painful: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and A Plague Tale: Requiem are the big names, joined by Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview), Pacific Drive, Superball, and The Casting of Frank Stone.

If you are midway through Expedition 33 or Requiem, you have until October 15 to finish or you will need to buy them. Microsoft notes that leaving titles are discounted for subscribers before they exit.

One more thing to keep in mind: starting in November 2026, Microsoft will cap cloud gaming hours at 15 per month for Ultimate, 10 for Premium, and 5 for Essential, with extra hours sold through the Xbox Store. Local installs on console and PC are unaffected, so heavy streamers should plan around it.

Battlefield 6 lands on Game Pass on October 13. The rest of the wave follows through October 16, and the clock is ticking on the nine games leaving on the 15th.
