Ekadence AUHSD: How to Copy Modules to Current Classes
Ekadence AUHSD teachers often need to bring a unit into a new class, and the fastest way is to copy modules from a previous year or class to the current class. This guide shows you how to copy modules in Ekadence step by step, with a screenshot for each stage.
Ekadence is the learning platform used by Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) classes. Copying a module saves hours of rebuilding units, assignments and study guides, and it takes only a few clicks once you know where the Copy to option lives.

What You Need Before You Start
- An Ekadence faculty login for your AUHSD school.
- Both classes already created: the old class you copy from and the current class you copy to.
- A few minutes, because copying a large module can take a moment to finish.
How to Copy Modules in Ekadence AUHSD
Follow these steps in order. We use an AP US History class as the example, but the process is the same for any course.
Quick overview:
- Open the Dashboard and the Select Course menu
- Click View All Classes
- Open the class you want to copy from
- Scroll down and click Copy to
- Remove the pre-filled class
- Choose the current class you want to copy to
- Click Next
- Click Make copy
- Go back to the Dashboard to check the message
- Open the class you copied to
- Click Modules and verify the material
Step 1: Open the Dashboard and click the Select Course arrow
From your Dashboard, click the down arrow next to Select Course at the top of the page.

Step 2: Click View All Classes
In the drop-down list, click View All Classes. This opens a table with every class on your account.

Step 3: Find and open the class you want to copy FROM
Scroll through the list and find the class that holds the modules you want, then click its name. This is your source class, often one from a previous year.

Step 4: Scroll down and click Copy to
Inside the source class, scroll down and click Copy to… for the module you want to move. A pop-up window opens.
Step 5: Remove the pre-filled class
The pop-up starts with a class already chosen. Delete it by clicking the small x next to the course name.

Step 6: Choose the class you want to copy TO
Ekadence now shows all of your classes. Scroll down until you find the current class or classes that should receive the module, and select each one.
Step 7: Click Next
When the current class or classes are selected, click Next.

Step 8: Click Make copy
Check the summary, then click Make copy. If something looks wrong, use Back or Cancel instead.

Step 9: Check the confirmation and go back to the Dashboard
A green message tells you the module copied. To verify, go back to your Dashboard.

Step 10: Open the class you copied TO
On the Dashboard, find the class that you copied into and click it.

Step 11: Click Modules and verify the material copied over
In the left menu, click Modules. You should see the copied unit, with its assignments, listed in the new class. You are done.

Tips for Copying Modules in Ekadence
- Copy one module at a time first, so you can check that everything arrived.
- Rename the copied module if you keep two similar units in the same class.
- Review due dates in the new class, because old dates may not match the new year.
- Copy to more than one class in the same pop-up when you teach several periods.
Ekadence AUHSD Copy Not Working?
- You cannot find Copy to: make sure you are inside the source class and have faculty access.
- The new class is missing from the list: check that it has been created and connected for the current term.
- The module did not appear: refresh the page and open Modules again.
- Still stuck: contact your school’s technology support or the AUHSD help desk.
