Guardian Tales Tier List: Every Hero Ranked for Every Game Mode
With over 100 heroes available in Guardian Tales, pulling the right character matters far more than just getting lucky on a banner. Invest your Hero Crystals and Legendary Awakening Stones into the wrong hero, and you’re setting yourself back weeks. This Guardian Tales tier list exists to make sure that never happens to you.
This is the most complete Guardian Tales hero rankings guide on the internet — covering all six major game modes: PvE, Arena, Colosseum, Raid, Kama-ZONE, and Orbital Lift. Every table is built from high-end account testing, KR server top-100 data, and current raid meta analysis. It serves both the day-1 player asking “who should I reroll for?” and the veteran fine-tuning their Colosseum lineup.

This Guardian Tales tier list 2026 is based on Version 3.43.0, which added Klen, Alicia, and Nelluru to the roster.
💡 Pair this with our Guardian Tales Codes guide to grab free gems, hero crystals, and awakening stones to build your top-tier heroes faster.
How We Rank Heroes — Our Methodology {#methodology}
Every tier list is an opinion — but ours is a well-informed one. Here’s the exact criteria behind every placement:
- Base stats — ATK, HP, and DEF at max level with full investment
- Skill damage output and utility — active skills, weapon skills, and chain skill value
- Party Skill value — passive buffs applied when the hero is in your team, even if not controlled
- Best-team performance — how the hero performs in their optimal team composition, not in isolation
- Exclusive weapon synergy — heroes whose exclusive weapon dramatically lifts their ceiling
- Current meta viability — performance in the current patch without assuming future buffs
- KR server data — top 100 Arena/Colosseum rankings from the Korea server (historically 1–2 months ahead of global meta)
- Raid boss appearance data — frequency of heroes appearing in top raid damage logs
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| S+ | Best in game — dominant in multiple modes; mandatory builds |
| S | Excellent — top performers in at least 2 major modes |
| A | Strong — reliable in their best mode; great supporting picks |
| B | Average — situational value; usable but not optimal investment |
| C | Below average — limited game mode viability |
| D/F | Avoid — not worth resources in the current meta |
Guardian Tales Character Classes Explained {#classes}
Before touching a single-tier table, understand the four Guardian Tales class types. Building without this knowledge is the fastest way to assemble a broken team.
- Warrior — Melee damage dealers. High ATK, moderate DEF. Best with melee weapons and in close-range fights. Currently underrepresented in the PvP meta but excellent in Raids.
- Tanker — Frontline absorbers. Can charge directly through enemies. Essential for new players learning PvE content. Their Party Skills often provide team-wide defensive buffs that scale well into end-game.
- Ranged — Bow and gun users. High DPS from a safe distance. Most of the current PvP meta lives here. Ranged heroes dominate Arena and Colosseum because of their combination of high damage and mobility.
- Support — Healers and buffers. Critical for Raid and long PvE content. Far less impactful in Arena (3v3 is too fast for healers to matter) but extremely valuable in Colosseum and Co-Op.
A balanced 4-hero team should include 1–2 DPS (Warrior or Ranged), 1 Support, and 1 flex slot adjusted to content type. Stacking four DPS looks powerful — until the first sustained fight drains your HP.
Guardian Tales Element System {#elements}
The Guardian Tales element system is one of the most impactful mechanics in the game, and somehow the least explained across every tier list site. This matters every time you build a Raid or Story team.
| Element | Strong Against | Weak Against |
|---|---|---|
| Fire 🔥 | Earth 🌱 | Water 💧 |
| Water 💧 | Fire 🔥 | Earth 🌱 |
| Earth 🌱 | Water 💧 | Fire 🔥 |
| Light ⭐ | Dark 🌑 | Basic ⚔️ |
| Dark 🌑 | Basic ⚔️ | Light ⭐ |
| Basic ⚔️ | Light ⭐ | Dark 🌑 |
Element type advantage deals significantly increased damage. In Raids, stacking multiple heroes of the same element also unlocks mono-element party skill synergies that can push your damage scores dramatically. Always check the current raid boss’s element weakness before locking in your team.
Kamael is one of the rare heroes who operates effectively regardless of element matchup — another reason he’s the consensus best hero in the game.

Game Mode Tier Lists {#game-modes}
PvE / Story Mode Tier List {#pve}
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | Beth, Future Princess, Gabriel, Kamael, Miya |
| A | Future Knight (Rifle), Knight (Sword), Lilith, Mk.99, Nari, Noxia, Oghma (Sword) |
| B | 1st Corps Commander, AA72, Aisha, Akayuki, Alef, Ameris, Amy, Andras, Angie, Aoba, Ara, Arabelle, Bari, Carol, Catherine, Chun Ryeo, Clara, Claude, Coco, Craig (Ascended), Crosselle, Dabin, Dai, Eleanor, Elvira (Ascended), Erina, Estel, Eugene, Eunha, Eva, Favi, Fei (Ascended), Fern, Future Knight (Sword), Garam, Gourry, Gremory, Hana, KAI, Kanna, Karina (Ascended), Lapice, Lavi, Lifeguard Yuze, Lina, Loraine, Lucy, Lupina, Lynn, Maam, Marina, Mayreel, Milim Nava, Miss Chrom, Mk.2, Natsume, Neva, Oghma (Rifle), Orca, Parvati, Plague Doctor, Plitvice, Priscilla, Pymon, Rachel, Ranpang, Rey, Rie, Rimuru, Rosetta, Rue, Scintilla, Sohee, Stark, Sumire, Tinia, Valencia, Veronica, Vinette, Vishuvac, White Snow, Win Ling, Xellos, Xiaoman, Yun, Yuze |
PvE note: Element matching is at its highest value in Story content. Water heroes dominate Fire-based worlds. Always bring at least one Support hero for extended dungeon runs — Favi and Karina (Ascended) are the best budget healers.
Arena Tier List {#arena}
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | Pure Flame Illuni, Tyrant of Destruction Milim Nava, God of Harvest Kamael, Divine Beast of Harvest Mayreel, Drunken Swordmaster Lynn, Legendary Hero Erina, Robbers’ Killer Lina, Demon Queen Lilith, Necromancer Noxia, Mage Fern, Grim Reaper Hana, Dark Magician Beth, Future Princess, Elite Ninja Natsume, Warrior Stark |
| A | Huntress Rosetta, Kunoichi Sumire, Sword of Werebeasts Rey, Santa’s Little Helper Rue, Half-vampire Priscilla, Sea Witch Ara, Flame Harpy Scintilla, Little Android AA72, Future Knight (Rifle) |
| B | Arabelle, Idol Captain Eva, Parvati, Sohee (Beach), Erina (base), Oghma (Rifle), Valencia, Veronica |
Arena note: Guardian Tales PvP Arena is a 3-hero mode. Burst damage, crowd control, and raw speed dominate. Tankers and healers lose virtually all their value here — stack your fastest, highest-damage heroes. Lynn and Lina are perennial top picks because of their ability to delete priority targets instantly.
Colosseum Tier List {#colosseum}
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | Pure Flame Illuni, God of Harvest Kamael, Necromancer Noxia, Overlord of the East Morrian, Future Princess, Robbers’ Killer Lina, Android Mk.99, Kunoichi Sumire, Elite Ninja Natsume, Archangel Gabriel |
| A | Divine Beast of Harvest Mayreel, Legendary Hero Erina, Sea Vendor Sia, Sea Witch Ara, Future Knight, Huntress Rosetta, Model Employee Parvati, Scientist Sohee (Beach), Idol Captain Eva, Exorcist Miya |
| B | 1st Corps Commander, AA72, Andras, Arabelle, Claude, Eleanor, Karina (Ascended), Lapice (TH), Lupina, Mayreel, Oghma (Rifle/Sword), Priscilla, Pymon, Rosetta, Rue (Rifle), Valencia, Veronica |
Colosseum note: Unlike Arena, Colosseum is a 4-hero mode. Support heroes regain significant value here. Future Princess remains the single most-picked hero in Colosseum because her shields and party buffs make every team composition sturdier. Build her, and your damage dealers will stay alive long enough to close out fights.
Raid Tier List {#raid}
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | God of Harvest Kamael, Sword of Werebeasts Rey, Win Ling, Eight-tailed Fox Nari, Warrior Stark, Nine-tailed Fox Garam, Dancing Archer Tinia, Demon Queen Lilith, Robbers’ Killer Lina, Android Mk.99, Archangel Gabriel, Divine Beast of Harvest Mayreel, Kunoichi Sumire, Little Android AA72, Huntress Rosetta |
| A | Claude, Garam (Bow), Kanna, Lucy, Orca, Rey, Veronica |
| B | 1st Corps Commander, AA72, Akayuki, Andras, Arabelle, Bari, Beth, Carol, Eleanor, Elvira (Ascended), Eugene, Future Knight (Rifle), Gremory, KAI, Karina (Ascended), Knight (Bow), Lahn, Lapice (TH), Lina, Lupina, Marianne, Mayreel, Miss Chrom, Mk.2, Neva, Noxia, Oghma (Rifle), Plitvice, Rosetta, Rue, Scintilla, Sohee, Summer Loraine, Valencia, Vishuvac, White Snow |
Raid note: Raid performance is boss-dependent. Always confirm the current raid boss’s element weakness before locking your lineup. Kamael is the only truly universal S-tier Raid hero because his dragon transformation ability performs regardless of elemental matchup — making him the safest long-term investment for any player.
Kama-ZONE Tier List {#kamazone}
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | Dark Magician Beth, Future Princess, Archangel Gabriel, Exorcist Miya, Mecha Warrior Oghma (Sword) |
| A | Flower Girl Bari, Future Knight (Rifle), God of Harvest Kamael, Demon Queen Lilith, Android Mk.99, Eight-tailed Fox Nari, Necromancer Noxia |
| B | 1st Corps Commander, AA72, Aisha, Akayuki, Alef, Ameris, Amy, Andras, Angie, Aoba, Ara, Arabelle, Carol, Catherine, Clara, Claude, Coco (Ascended), Craig (Ascended), Crosselle, Dai, Daisy, Eleanor, Elvira (Ascended), Erina, Eugene, Eunha, Eva, Favi, Fei (Ascended/base), Fern, Future Knight (Sword), Garam, Gourry, Gremory, Hana, KAI, Kanna, Karina, Knight, Lapice, Lavi, Lina, Loraine, Lucy, Lupina, Lynn, Maam, Mayreel, Milim Nava, Miss Chrom, Mk.2, Natsume, Neva, Oghma (Rifle), Orca, Parvati, Plague Doctor, Plitvice, Priscilla, Pymon, Rachel, Ranpang, Rey, Rimuru, Rosetta, Rue, Scintilla, Sohee, Stark, Sumire, Tinia, Valencia, Veronica, Vinette, Vishuvac, Win Ling, Xellos, Yun |
Kama-ZONE note: This mode rewards sustained AOE damage across consecutive waves. Beth and Future Princess dominate here consistently because Beth’s magic burst clears waves rapidly and Future Princess keeps the team alive between floors. Don’t bring a single-target burst hero expecting to top the leaderboard here.
Orbital Lift Tier List {#orbital}
This is a section no competitor covers properly — and it’s one of the most-searched game modes among veteran players.
| Tier | Heroes |
|---|---|
| S | God of Harvest Kamael, Future Princess, Future Knight, Dark Magician Beth, Robbers’ Killer Lina, Eight-tailed Fox Nari, Android Mk.99, Archangel Gabriel, Warrior Stark, Mage Fern |
| A | Demon Queen Lilith, Legendary Hero Erina, Divine Beast of Harvest Mayreel, Necromancer Noxia, Kunoichi Sumire, Mage Frieren, Sword of Heaven Angie |
| B | Huntress Rosetta, Nine-tailed Fox Garam, AA72, Claude, Kanna, Mk.2, Parvati, Tinia, Veronica |
Orbital Lift note: The Orbital Lift is Guardian Tales’ most demanding PvE content. It requires very specific DPS-to-survivability ratios and punishes teams without either self-sustain or a dedicated buffer. Do not simply bring your Colosseum lineup here — this mode needs heroes with AOE skills and personal survivability tools. Kamael’s transformation ability is uniquely suited to this content, making him the top pick across every floor tier.
S+ and S Tier Hero Breakdowns — Who They Are and What They Do {#hero-profiles}
This is what every other tier list on the internet skips. A name in a table tells you nothing. Here’s what each top-tier hero actually does.

1. God of Harvest Kamael — Ranged | Water
The undisputed #1 hero in Guardian Tales.
- Transforms into a dragon, unleashing devastating AOE damage and team-wide buffs
- Hybrid AOE and single-target — effective against both mob waves and raid bosses
- His Party Skill provides team damage amplification even when you’re not actively controlling him
- Best modes: Everything. Literally S+ in PvE, Arena, Colosseum, Raid, Kama-ZONE, and Orbital Lift
- Weakness: Reaches full potential only with his Exclusive Weapon — plan for the investment
- Verdict: Reroll for Kamael first. Build Kamael first. No other hero decision is close.
2. Dark Magician Beth — Ranged | Dark
The best burst damage hero in the game for non-Colosseum content.
- Elite magic damage output with a built-in stun mechanic — deletes priority targets and interrupts enemy skills
- Her Exclusive Weapon dramatically amplifies her single-target ceiling
- Best modes: Arena, Orbital Lift, PvE
- Weakness: Noticeably less impactful in Colosseum vs. newer S-tier picks — her survivability is lower in 4v4 sustained fights
- Verdict: The top Arena and Orbital Lift investment after Kamael. F2P players should target her as their second full build.
3. Future Princess — Tanker | Basic
The best utility hero in Guardian Tales — she makes everyone else better.
- Generates team-wide shields and provides party buffs that scale with her investment
- Her Party Skill applies buffs passively — she doesn’t need to be your controlled hero to be valuable
- Best modes: Colosseum (S-tier), Kama-ZONE (S-tier), PvE (S-tier)
- Weakness: Limited Arena impact — 3v3’s pace doesn’t give shields time to matter; Tanker role struggles in pure burst PvP
- Verdict: Colosseum’s permanent meta anchor. If you play Colosseum seriously, Future Princess is mandatory.
4. Demon Queen Lilith — Warrior | Dark
The best traditional Warrior DPS for PvE and Raid.
- Party DPS amplification via Party Skill makes every hero hit harder when she’s in the lineup
- Strong sustained damage output across multiple targets
- Best modes: PvE, Raid, Co-Op
- Weakness: Power curve has flattened vs. newer S-tier additions; less dominant in Colosseum than she used to be
- Verdict: Still a top-tier pull. If you land Lilith early, build her and don’t regret it.
5. Archangel Gabriel — Ranged | Light
The premier Support-adjacent Ranged hero.
- Provides party ATK buffs via both active skills and Party Skill — she’s essentially a damage dealer AND a buffer simultaneously
- One of the most consistent Raid performers due to her ability to both deal damage and amplify teammate output
- Best modes: Raid, Co-Op, PvE
- Weakness: Not a top Arena pick — her value comes from sustained team amplification, which doesn’t translate to burst PvP
- Verdict: The best hero to pair with Kamael in every long-form content mode.
6. Robbers’ Killer Lina — Warrior | Basic
The most consistent PvP hero across multiple patches.
- Exceptional single-target elimination; her kit is specifically designed to shut down the enemy’s highest-threat hero
- Maintains S-tier in both Arena and Colosseum — rare for a Warrior class hero
- Best modes: Arena, Colosseum
- Weakness: Less impactful in Raid content compared to dedicated Ranged DPS heroes
- Verdict: The best Warrior class hero in the PvP meta. Pull confidently.
7. Klen — Newest S+ Hero
The most recently added S+ tier hero in version 3.43.0.
- Delivers exceptional balanced performance across multiple game modes — the primary reason for the v3.43.0 meta shift
- Early data from the KR server places Klen alongside Kamael at the S+ ceiling
- Best modes: Arena, Colosseum, PvE (data still accumulating)
- Weakness: Requires full investment to reach S+ performance — partially built Klen performs closer to S
- Verdict: High-priority pull. If Klen appears on your current banner, this is a genuine stop-your-reroll moment.
Always keep an eye on the updated Patch notes, so that you get the updated tier.
Best Team Compositions {#teams}
Best PvE Team
| Role | Hero | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Primary DPS | Kamael | Universal damage + party buff |
| Magic DPS | Beth | AOE magic burst for wave clearing |
| Support/Raid DPS | Gabriel | ATK party buff + sustained damage |
| Tank/Buffer | Future Princess | Team shields + stat amplification |
Budget F2P Team: Future Knight + 1st Corps Commander + Favi (healer) + Marina. This core clears all story content without legendary heroes if played element-aware.
Best Colosseum Team
| Core | Alternative |
|---|---|
| Future Princess + Noxia + Lina + Kamael | Miya + Oghma + Future Knight + Gabriel |
Colosseum (4v4) note: Balance your team between a buffer/tank (Future Princess), two DPS, and one support or utility pick. Pure DPS teams bleed out in prolonged Colosseum fights.
Best PvP Arena Team
| Core | Alternative |
|---|---|
| Kamael + Mayreel + Lina | Beth + Lynn + Noxia |
Arena (3v3) note: Pure offense wins here — no healers, no tanks. Stack your fastest, hardest-hitting heroes. The goal is to delete the enemy’s most dangerous hero in the first 5 seconds.
Best Raid Team
| Core Setup | Key Rule |
|---|---|
| Kamael + Nari + Gabriel + Lina | Match your element to the boss weakness |
Raid performance varies by boss. Always check the current boss’s element before finalizing your team. When in doubt, Kamael + Gabriel + two DPS matching the boss weakness is a universally strong formula.
Guardian Tales Reroll Guide {#reroll}
How to Reroll in Guardian Tales
Rerolling in Guardian Tales is faster than most gacha RPGs — no separate app deletion required on guest accounts.
- Launch the game and start as a guest account — do NOT link to Google/Apple yet
- Complete the tutorial (it’s quick and skippable after the first run)
- Use your starter gems and summons on the Hero banner
- Check your results against the tier list above
- If unhappy: Gear icon → Account Settings → Delete Account → Confirm
- Reboot the game — it restarts immediately on a guest account
- Once satisfied: create a full account (email, Google, or Apple ID) to lock in your progress
The 24-hour deletion wait only applies to linked/registered accounts. Guest accounts delete instantly — always start as a guest.

Who Should You Reroll For? {#reroll-targets}
Priority Tier — reroll until you land one of these:
| Hero | Why They’re Worth It |
|---|---|
| Kamael | S+ across all 6 game modes — the only true universal best hero |
| Beth | S+ in Arena and Orbital Lift; best burst DPS in the game |
| Future Princess | Colosseum essential; makes every other hero on your team perform better |
| Klen | Newest S+ hero; strong across all major modes |
Acceptable stops — strong alternative starts: Lilith, Lina, Gabriel, Mayreel, Noxia — any of these is a strong foundation.
Kamael is the consensus #1 reroll target in Guardian Tales. If you land him in your opening session, stop. You’ve already won the opening phase of the game.
Hero Upgrade Priority Guide {#upgrades}
This section answers the question every mid-game player eventually asks: where do I spend these rare resources?
1. Hero Crystals — Used to Limit Break heroes past their base level cap. Only spend on S+ and S tier heroes. Hero Crystals on a B/C tier hero are permanently wasted.
2. Legendary Awakening Stones — Used to unlock a hero’s absolute maximum potential. These are the rarest resources in the game. Invest exclusively in your 1–2 primary heroes.
3. Limit Break Hammers — Used to upgrade weapons. Match to your primary hero’s Exclusive Weapon whenever possible — an Exclusive Weapon upgrades a hero’s ceiling by 20–40% in most cases.
4. The One-Hero Rule — A fully-built S-tier hero outperforms three half-built S-tier heroes. Build one hero completely before distributing resources elsewhere.
The single most common mistake free-to-play Guardian Tales players make is spreading Legendary Awakening Stones across multiple heroes. Choose your main — Kamael or Beth is the recommendation — and go all the way.
F2P Hero Priority Guide {#f2p}
Guardian Tales is one of the more rewarding mobile gacha RPGs for free-to-play players — if you make smart decisions early.
- Target Kamael or Beth as your first full build — both appear regularly on banners, both scale dramatically with investment, and both remain meta across multiple patch cycles
- Use Guardian Tales codes for Hero Crystals and Awakening Stones — these resources are the hardest to farm without spending; redeeming every available code closes the gap significantly → See our full Guardian Tales Codes list
- Don’t chase every collaboration banner — Rimuru, Frieren, and other collab heroes are exciting but limited-return investments. Core roster heroes like Kamael, Beth, and Future Princess deliver more value across their entire lifespan
- Daily Discount Summon is your compounding advantage — one reduced-cost single summon per day adds up to 30+ free pulls per month over time
- Story Mode first, always — Story progression naturally unlocks heroes, Heavenhold resources, and summon tickets. The game actively rewards consistent players even without spending a single cent
Collaboration Hero Tier Guide {#collabs}
Collaboration heroes are limited — they rarely return once their banner ends. Here’s the quick reference for every collab hero currently or recently in the game:
| Collab Hero | Series | Tier | Worth Pulling? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milim Nava | That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime | S | ✅ Yes — competitive S-tier DPS |
| Rimuru Tempest | That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime | A | ✅ Yes — strong A-tier with good team synergies |
| Frieren | Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End | S | ✅ Yes — excellent mage DPS; meta-relevant |
| Lina Inverse | Slayers | S | ✅ Yes — strong PvP and PvE performance |
| Gourry | Slayers | B | ⚠️ Situational — fun but not investment-worthy |
| Xellos | Slayers | B | ⚠️ Situational — some team support value |
The collaboration pull rule: If the collab hero is S-tier AND you have the gems stockpiled, pull. If they’re A-tier or below, prioritize your core roster investment first. Collab banners rarely return — but neither do the resources you’d spend chasing a B-tier hero.
FAQ — Guardian Tales Tier List {#faq}
Who is the best hero in Guardian Tales?
God of Harvest Kamael is the consensus #1 hero in the game. He’s the only hero rated S+ simultaneously in PvE, Arena, Colosseum, Raid, Kama-ZONE, and Orbital Lift. His dragon transformation delivers both AOE and single-target damage, his Party Skill buffs the entire team, and his ceiling with a fully-built Exclusive Weapon is the highest of any hero in Guardian Tales 2026.
Is the Guardian Tales tier list different for PvE and PvP?
Significantly. PvE rewards healers, tanks, and sustained DPS — Future Princess and Gabriel are excellent here. PvP Arena (3v3) rewards burst damage and speed exclusively — healers and tankers lose most of their value. Some heroes like Future Princess are absolute Colosseum royalty but barely register in open Arena. Always check the game-mode-specific tables above before making pull decisions.
Who should beginners build first in Guardian Tales?
Future Princess first — her shields and party buffs improve every other hero you’ll ever use. Pair her with whatever S or S+ DPS you pull (ideally Kamael or Beth). Avoid investing Hero Crystals or Legendary Awakening Stones in anything below S-tier until your core duo is fully built.
Is Kamael worth building in Guardian Tales?
Absolutely — Kamael is the safest, highest-return investment in Guardian Tales right now. He’s S+ across all six major game modes, his power scales linearly with investment, and he hasn’t been power-crept despite the addition of Klen. If you only build one hero to maximum, make it Kamael.
How does the element system work in Guardian Tales?
Guardian Tales uses a rock-paper-scissors element system: Fire beats Earth, Earth beats Water, Water beats Fire. For the secondary triangle: Light beats Dark, Dark beats Basic, Basic beats Light. Heroes with type advantage deal significantly increased damage. In Raid content, running a mono-element team that matches the boss weakness also triggers additional Party Skill synergies — one of the highest-value optimizations available to mid-game players.
Are collaboration heroes worth pulling?
It depends entirely on the tier. Milim Nava, Frieren, and Lina Inverse are S-tier collab heroes worth pulling — they hold their meta relevance long after the collaboration ends. B-tier collab heroes like Gourry are fun but shouldn’t receive your Legendary Awakening Stones. Because collab banners almost never return, treat a S-tier collab appearance as a genuine priority pull if you have the gems ready.
How do I reroll in Guardian Tales?
Start as a guest account → complete tutorial → use starter summons → check results against this tier list. If unhappy: Account Settings → Delete Account → Reboot. Repeat until you land Kamael, Beth, or Future Princess. Only link your account after getting a hero you’re satisfied with — guest accounts delete instantly without any waiting period.
