Blooket Create: How to Create a Set (Step-by-Step Guide)
Blooket create is the tool that lets you build a question set from scratch, and it only takes a few minutes. A set is the quiz that powers every game, so once you have one you can host it live, run it solo or send it as homework. Before you start, make sure you can log in. If not, our Blooket sign up guide walks through account creation.
What You Need Before You Start
- A free Blooket account (see blooket.com to log in).
- A title and a short description for your set.
- Optional: a cover image from your computer or from a link.
The tutorial behind this guide was recorded in 2023. Blooket changes its layout now and then, so a button may sit in a slightly different spot, but the order of the steps is the same.
How to Use Blooket Create (8 Steps)
Step 1: Click Create in the sidebar
Open the Blooket dashboard and click the big Create button on the left. This opens the Question Set Creator.

Step 2: Add a cover image
In the Cover Image box, click Upload a File and choose a picture from your computer. You can also use an image from the gallery or upload one by URL. A cover is optional but it makes your set easy to spot.

Step 3: Type a title
Click the Title bar and type a name students will recognize, such as “Fun Games”. The title is required, so Blooket will not let you continue without one.

Step 4: Write a description
Click the Description box and add one sentence about the set. You can change it later. See how to edit a Blooket set description for that.

Step 5: Choose a creation method
Under Creation Method, pick Manual to type your own questions. Blooket also offers Quizlet Import and CSV Import if you already have questions somewhere else. Privacy is set just above: Public lets everyone find the set, while Private keeps it only for you.

Step 6: Click Create
Scroll down and click the teal Create button at the bottom right.

Step 7: Save the set
Your new set opens with a cover, title and description. Click Save Set so nothing is lost. Next, add your questions with the Add Question button. We cover that in how to make a Blooket quiz set.

Step 8: Find the set in My Sets
Click My Sets in the sidebar. Your new set appears as a card with Solo and Host buttons, ready to play. Use the Blooket host steps to start a live game.

Tips for Better Sets
- Keep titles short and specific so you can find them later.
- Edit mistakes any time with how to edit a Blooket question set.
- Aim for at least 10 questions so a game feels full.
- Test it once with Solo before class.
