Roblox DevEx Rates 2026: All Three Rates Explained
Roblox’s Developer Exchange (DevEx) is the only official way to turn Robux you earn into real money, but the amount you get per Robux is not a single number anymore. As of October 2026, there are three roblox devex rates running at the same time, and which one applies depends on when you earned the Robux and who spent it.
Get this wrong and your payout math will be off by hundreds or even thousands of dollars, so this guide breaks down every rate, who qualifies, and what common balances are actually worth.

The Three Roblox DevEx Rates Compared
Here is every current rate side by side. The key detail most guides miss: the legacy rate still applies to old balances, and those balances always cash out first.
| Rate | USD per Earned Robux | Who qualifies | In effect since |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $0.0038 | All Earned Robux earned on or after September 5, 2025 | September 5, 2025 |
| Legacy | $0.0035 | Balances of Earned Robux earned before September 5, 2025 (10am PT) | Previous standard rate; applies to pre-September 5, 2025 earnings |
| U.S. 18+ | $0.0054 | Qualifying purchases by U.S. players verified as 18+ in eligible experiences | June 8, 2026 |
The standard rate rose from $0.0035 to $0.0038 on September 5, 2025, the first DevEx increase in years. Then on June 8, 2026, Roblox added the U.S. 18+ rate at $0.0054, which is roughly 42% higher than standard. These roblox devex rates apply to different slices of your earnings, so many creators now hold a mixed balance that cashes out at more than one rate in a single request.
Roblox DevEx Rates: What Each Rate Pays
These are the exact figures at the current rates. Notice that 100,000 Robux is worth $380 at the standard rate, not the $350 figure still shown in older guides that used the pre-2025 rate. Bookmark this guide: these roblox devex rates are current as of October 2026.
| Earned Robux | Standard ($0.0038) | Legacy ($0.0035) | U.S. 18+ ($0.0054) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30,000 (DevEx minimum) | $114 | $105 | $162 |
| 100,000 | $380 | $350 | $540 |
| 1,000,000 | $3,800 | $3,500 | $5,400 |

Who Gets the U.S. 18+ Rate?
The $0.0054 rate is not automatic and does not apply to every experience. It covers Earned Robux from four specific purchase types made by U.S. players who verified their age as at least 18 through facial age estimation or a government ID:
- Developer products
- Game passes
- Subscriptions
- Private servers
Your experience also has to meet Roblox’s character rules. Player characters must spend 100% of active playtime on a standard or advanced R15 rig (or qualifying custom characters). If a player can spawn into or switch to an R6 avatar at any point, the game is not eligible. Roblox runs background compliance checks and removes eligibility from games that stop qualifying. When you cash out, you can see how much of your balance falls under the 18+ rate versus the standard rate.
Legacy Balance Rules: Old Robux Cash Out First
If you held Earned Robux before September 5, 2025 at 10am PT, that portion of your balance stays at the old $0.0035 rate. Two rules from Roblox’s official documentation matter here:
- Old-rate Robux cash out before new-rate Robux. You must clear your entire pre-September 5, 2025 balance at $0.0035 before any of your newer earnings convert at $0.0038. This includes one-time payouts from groups.
- Spending Robux does not clear the legacy balance. Buying items on the platform reduces your total Robux, but it does not count toward clearing your old-rate Earned Robux first.
This is why two creators with the same total balance can receive different payouts. A creator who has been earning since 2024 may still be working through a legacy balance at $0.0035, while a creator who started in late 2025 converts everything at $0.0038.
Only Earned Robux Counts
DevEx exchanges Earned Robux only. That means Robux from game pass and developer product sales, avatar item sales in the Marketplace, Creator Store sales, private servers, paid access, and Creator Rewards. Robux you purchased directly, received as gifts, redeemed from gift cards, or got as monthly subscription grants cannot be cashed out. Roblox tracks the origin of your Robux and decides eligibility at its own discretion.
Remember that the 30% marketplace fee applies before DevEx math even starts: when a player buys your 1,000 Robux game pass, you receive 700 Robux, and those 700 are what convert at the DevEx rate. Our robux tax calculator shows the fee and the keep for any sale. After the marketplace fee, your keep converts at the roblox devex rates above. For context, players buy Robux at roughly $0.01 per Robux, so the DevEx rate means creators receive about 38 cents of every dollar players spend on Robux, before the marketplace fee split. Roblox DevEx Rates: Frequently Asked Questions
What is the current Roblox DevEx rate in 2026?
The standard rate is $0.0038 per Earned Robux for Robux earned on or after September 5, 2025. Robux earned before that date still converts at the legacy $0.0035 rate, and qualifying purchases from age-verified 18+ U.S. players earn the higher $0.0054 rate. These are the current roblox devex rates as of October 2026.
How much is 100,000 Robux in USD through DevEx?
At the current standard rate of $0.0038, 100,000 Robux converts to $380. The same amount at the legacy $0.0035 rate is $350, and at the U.S. 18+ rate of $0.0054 it is $540.
Do I need to do anything special to get the U.S. 18+ rate?
No application is needed. If your experience meets the character and avatar requirements (R15 only, no R6 option) and the purchase came from an age-verified 18+ U.S. player, the eligible earnings automatically qualify. Roblox reviews games on an ongoing basis.
Can I cash out purchased or gifted Robux?
No. DevEx only accepts Earned Robux from legitimate creation activity. Purchased Robux, gift card redemptions, subscription grants, traded items, and Robux from transfers do not qualify.
