This WoW Forever tier list ranks all 9 classes for leveling to 60 in World of Warcraft: Forever, which launched on November 4, 2026. We combined two current leveling tier lists built from Blizzard’s November 2 tuning notes and the live race to 60, so one site’s opinion cannot push a class to the top. Consensus of two current WoW Forever leveling tier lists (Timesaver and MMOnster, both checked November 6). Each class gets the average of its placements, using its best leveling spec. S+ means both lists put it in their top tier.

Best class to level in WoW Forever

S+: Hunter, Mage. Both lists put them at the top. Hunter is the safest solo pick because its pet tanks for you, and Mage is the fastest: the top two players in the race to 60 tracked on November 6 were both Undead Mages.

S: Paladin. Retribution Paladin is very hard to kill in plate and was the fastest leveler in the first beta week.

A: Warlock. Still low downtime, but the pet Stamina nerf means your Voidwalker cannot tank like it did in the beta.

How to use this WoW Forever tier list

This WoW Forever tier list ranks classes for solo leveling speed and safety, not for raids or PvP. Warrior sits at the bottom here but is one of the best classes once you reach dungeons and raids, and Priest is far stronger in groups than alone. If you level with a friend, almost any class is fine.

Class training from level 1 to 60 now costs a flat 206 to 207 gold for every class, plus riding, so you do not need to pick a class to save gold. Beta characters were wiped, so everyone started fresh on November 4.

Will the WoW Forever tier list change?

Probably not much before raids. Blizzard says it plans no big tuning changes before raids open on December 9, except for bugs and serious outliers, and a larger tuning pass is expected once it has data from players past level 30. We will update this WoW Forever tier list when that lands.

How we ranked

For this WoW Forever tier list we used two current leveling tier lists: Timesaver, which ranks whole classes and checks them against the live race to 60, and MMOnster, which ranks specs (we used each class’s best spec). Each tier became a score from 5 (S) to 1 (D), and every class got the average. Shaman is the biggest disagreement: Timesaver rates it A after its buffs, while MMOnster puts Enhancement in C because of early mana costs.
