Exynos 2700 Enters Mass Production: Leaked Geekbench Score Beats Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 by 9.5%

Samsung has officially begun mass production of the Exynos 2700, according to a new report from prominent leaker Ice Universe, and the chip could be far more important to Samsung’s 2027 flagship plans than expected.

In a post on X dated October 2, 2026, Ice Universe shared a detailed breakdown of where the Exynos 2700 currently stands. The headline claim: the chip has entered front-end wafer mass production, moving beyond the small-scale sample stage, with production volume reportedly more than 10% higher than the Exynos 2600.

Which Galaxy S27 Models Will Use the Exynos 2700

According to the report, the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and a new Galaxy S27 Pro are expected to ship with the Exynos 2700 in Korea and Europe. The United States and China, meanwhile, are expected to continue using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, preserving Samsung’s long-standing dual-chip strategy across regions.

The biggest open question is the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Samsung has still not made a final decision on whether the Ultra will use the Exynos 2700, Ice Universe reports. The company’s System LSI division, which designs the chip, reportedly wants the Exynos 2700 in the S27 Ultra, while the MX division, which builds the phones, is still evaluating performance, thermals, cost, and SF2P production capacity before committing.

Exynos 2700 Geekbench 6 Leak: 9.5% Ahead of Snapdragon

The most eye-catching claim concerns performance. A recent Samsung internal Geekbench 6 test reportedly showed the Exynos 2700 scoring 9.5% higher in multi-core performance than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Based on the reported Snapdragon multi-core score of 12,856, that would put the Exynos 2700 above 14,000 points in Geekbench 6 multi-core. The chip is manufactured on Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm SF2P process, which is central to Samsung’s hopes that this generation finally closes the gap with Qualcomm.

It is worth stressing that none of these figures come from Samsung itself. They are reported test results shared by a leaker, and real-world performance will depend on thermals, sustained clocks, and modem efficiency, areas where Exynos chips have historically trailed Snapdragon.

Galaxy S27 Ultra Design Already Leaked via CAD Renders

While the chip decision is still open, the S27 Ultra’s design appears to be leaking on a separate track. In August 2026, Ice Universe shared CAD-based renders of the Galaxy S27 Ultra produced by OnLeaks, confirming that the renders matched his own information. The renders show a redesigned camera island with two pill-shaped modules, one housing three lenses and one housing two, alongside an LED flash, plus a centered punch-hole front camera.

What This Means for Samsung Fans

If the reported Geekbench figures hold, the Exynos 2700 would be Samsung’s most competitive flagship chip in years, and its planned use in Korea and Europe is already a vote of confidence from the company. Whether Samsung finally puts Exynos back into the Ultra, though, remains the decision to watch.

Samsung’s other big hardware bet this year is its upcoming smart glasses.
