Find X9 Pro Model Numbers: PLG110 vs CPH2791

The Find X9 Pro has two model numbers: PLG110 and CPH2791, according to Wikipedia. The standard Find X9 has PLJ110 and CPH2797.

Wikipedia does not say which belongs to which market, but Oppo and OnePlus use a fixed pattern: global models start with CPH and Chinese ones start with P. So PLG110 is the Chinese Pro and CPH2791 is the global Pro. See our model number directory for other phones. The new Oppo Find X10 series follows the same path, having both Chinese and Global ROM variants.

What You Gain by Importing the Chinese Find X9 Pro

  • A lower price. Imports start around €780, while the European price is €1,299.
  • A charger. The Chinese model includes a fast charger, and the global one does not.
  • A red color. It is only available on the Chinese model.
  • 1 TB of storage. Only the Chinese version offers it.
  • A good import experience. Notebookcheck notes that, unlike some other imports such as the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Pro, the Chinese Find X9 Pro is multi-language from the factory, and it supports Android Auto and Widevine L1.

What You Lose

  • eSIM. It is only supported on the global Find X9 Pro.
  • The official update guarantee. The imported phone does not have the six-year promise that the European model has.
  • Warranty. Full coverage applies only to purchases made within Europe, so repairs on an import can be a problem.
  • Smartwatch pairing. Pairing with Wear OS watches can often be difficult.
  • Some Chinese text. English is available, but some Chinese characters stay in the system.

Network Bands: Will the Chinese Find X9 Pro Work on Your Carrier?

For most of the world, yes. Notebookcheck says there are no significant limits on LTE and 5G frequencies, and that the phone is fully compatible with mobile networks in Europe. The band list on Wikipedia shows the differences: for 4G, the Chinese list leaves out bands 13, 32 and 71 and adds 34 and 43, and for 5G it adds bands 18, 34 and 39 and leaves out 71, 75 and 76. Check your carrier’s bands against these lists, especially in the United States and Canada.

Camera, Battery and Hardware

The core hardware is the same in both versions. Oppo’s own launch video lists a 7,500 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and a quad camera system with a 200 MP Hasselblad telephoto. We did not find a verified hardware difference between the Chinese and global Pro, so the reasons to pick one version are software, support and price, not performance.

Which Find X9 Pro Should You Buy?

  • Buy the global CPH2791 if you need eSIM, a warranty you can use at home, or six years of promised updates.
  • Buy the Chinese PLG110 if you want the lowest price, can live without eSIM and with limited warranty, and prefer a phone that is multi-language and works with Android Auto.
