Unstable SMP Civil War Finale Simulator: Free Minecraft 1.21.11 Map Download & Guide

The Unstable SMP Civil War ended with one of the biggest battles in Minecraft YouTube history — the Battle of Capital City in ParrotX2’s “Unstable SMP: Civil War FINALE” video.

Now you can step into that battle yourself. Map maker derothop [https://www.patreon.com/derothop/posts/unstable-smp-war-163738567] has rebuilt the finale as a playable Minecraft map called the Unstable SMP: Civil War FINALE Simulator, and it is completely free to download.

What Is the Unstable SMP Civil War Finale Simulator?

The simulator drops you straight into the final battle of the Unstable Civil War. Instead of just watching the fight, you pick a side and play as any role in it — including the main characters from the series, like the fighters from ParrotX2’s, Wemmbu’s and FlameFrags’ storylines. The map is filled with up to 300 bots, so the battlefield feels as chaotic as the real finale.

A built-in team selector lets you choose which army to fight for, and a kit editor system lets you build and save your own kit before the battle starts. You can also use the standard soldier kit of the team you picked. That means you can fight as a main character, fight alongside them as a soldier, or switch sides and fight against them.

The Patreon Link: What It Is and What You Get

The map is published on derothop’s official Patreon page, and that post is the only download page you need: https://www.patreon.com/derothop/posts/unstable-smp-war-163738567

Despite being on Patreon, the post is free (priced at $0) — you do not need a paid membership to download the map. The post contains the map download itself, the full list of required mods, the compatibility notes, and troubleshooting tips from derothop. It was first published on July 13, 2026 and last updated on July 20, 2026, so use that page (not an old re-upload) to make sure you always get the latest working version of the map.

Required Mods

The simulator does not run on vanilla Minecraft. It needs three Fabric mods:

  • Fabric API – the base library most Fabric mods need (Modrinth)
  • Herobot – the mod that powers the map’s 300 bots and main characters. Note: Herobot is incompatible with the Carpet mod, so remove Carpet if you have it (Modrinth)
  • Modify Player Data – required for the character and kit systems (Modrinth)

How to Install and Play

  1. Install Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11 with the Fabric loader. The map works on this version only.
  2. Download the three required mods above and drop them into your mods folder.
  3. Download the map for free from derothop’s Patreon post linked above.
  4. Put the map folder into your saves folder and start the world.
  5. Use the team selector to pick your side, set up your loadout in the kit editor (or take your team’s soldier kit), and join the battle.

Derothop also walks through the map in his release video, “I made the Unstable SMP Civil War Finale Simulator,” on his YouTube channel — worth a watch if you want to see the battle in action before downloading.

Good to Know Before You Play

  • Version lock: the map works only on Minecraft 1.21.11. It will not work on older or newer versions, because Herobot currently supports 1.21.11 only.
  • Bots not spawning? Wait about a minute after loading — the bots can take a while to appear. If they still don’t spawn, double-check that Herobot is installed correctly.
  • Stuck somewhere on the map? Use the command /trigger spawn to teleport back to spawn.
  • No orbital strike cannon: the map has no built-in orbital strike cannon. If you want one (like in the original video), you will need to add a separate mod for it.
  • Credit: derothop credits Carpet PVP maps for the idea behind the simulator.

Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11 only, with Fabric. The map does not work on any other version because the Herobot mod only supports 1.21.11.
