The process takes a minute once your classes are linked, and each step below includes a screenshot. It is based on a short tutorial for Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) teachers, and student names are blurred in the images.

  • Choose Mark as Excused if the student should not be graded on work from before they joined.
  • Choose Set scores to only when you want a specific percentage for all earlier work.
  • Link your sections before the term starts, so the transfer option is ready when students move.
  • Review the gradebook afterward to confirm the scores look right.

  • The linked section option is missing: your classes may not be linked yet, so link them first.
  • You already clicked Acknowledge: ask your site technology contact for help, because the alert may be gone.
  • Still stuck: contact your school’s technology support or the AUHSD help desk.

Ekadence Transfer Scores FAQ

Can I transfer scores after acknowledging a student? The steps in the tutorial use the arrow next to Acknowledge, so do it before you acknowledge the alert.

What does Mark as Excused do? It marks the student’s past work as excused so it does not count against them.

Do I need linked classes? You need them for the Transfer Scores from Linked Section option, but the other two choices are available without links.
